New Maori info, and letter from CVS

Once again Maori is punished because of something adults have done to her. Adults that should be flexible with archaic rules that were not meant for this particular situation. Maori lost part of her senior season, has been a pwn of the system and now lost one of the top achievements she deserved. Coach Stringer's letter says it all!

Very moving letter from CVS. This whole situation is a travesty. I hope we all welcome this young lady with open arms and hearts next year. No one should have to experience what she did this year.

Maybe we can contact members of the Alabama Legislature asking them to investigate the Alabama High School Athletic Association
because of their treatment of an Alabama High School basketball player because of a mistake made by the USA Basketball organization.

Can't say it will help Maori, but it might make the members of that State's Legislature feel the AHSAA needs to make this go away because it is making the state look bad .

I may have questioned CVS for her offense, for her team diversity, for her inabilities to cross the national finish line. But I would and will never question her character, her standards, her commitment, or her pursuit of bringing up young women to achieve.

She's a role model in a world short of role models. She's another example of how one day folks will look back and realize "damn, she got it.".... And I say that as moderate conservative that believes in "what is right is right"

To quote the end of my favorite sports movie...Denzel Washington...Remember the Titans.
"You're hall of fame in my book coach"

Need to organize a massive rally when the clown Steve Savarese gets inducted into the Alabama High school sports Hall of Fame (Shame).

At least bomb him with emails, etc.

Did the AHSAA (¿?) respond to the basis of the lawsuit? My recollection is that Davenport is making the claim that the Association has waived rules for other players, thus demonstrating the arbitrary application or enforcement of rules.
