We would love to hear your opinions on the new logo!

Every time I see TKR I can't help but think of TKR Cable, which was the first cable company I had in the mid 80s in Central Jersey. Any other former TKR Cable subscribers out there?

Not only was our family subscribed, my first Little Lads team was sponsored by TKR Cable. Still have the trophy somewhere, I think.

Mr. DirtyRU has worked closely with the Court Club for many years, designing everything from auction flyers and custom photos for autograph signings to all of our merchandise and logo branding!

Highly recommended for all your design needs! This new logo is no exception!

I have a neat story that involves TKR.

Back in 1986, Duane (the brother of one of my best friends, Gary) owned a butcher shop in Warren. One of the regular customers at the shop was named Steve Sefcik (sp?), who hosted a weekly Monday night sports show on TKR (which had a studio close to the shop). One day, Duane tells Steve that he should invite Gary on the show, telling him that Gary attends Rutgers and is a sports writer for The Daily Targum. Steve thought it was a great idea and had Gary on the program to discuss Rutgers athletics.

Gary and I graduated from Rutgers in 1987. We both majored in Journalism and Media Studies.

The best part of this story: Gary Potosky was named sports editor of the Philadelphia Inquirer last year. After decades of working the worst hours imaginable (nights, weekends, holidays), nobody deserved the job more than Gary. I gotta admit, I got chills when he sent me a photo of himself at the Super Bowl in Minnesota earlier this year. NFL football has long been his favorite sport. Attending the Super Bowl was a life-long dream of his.

TKR's Play-byPlay man Lou Brogno is still churning away almost 40 years later. I have heard him doing games for MSG Varsity.

What was the name of the tall guy he partnered with at those games? Escapes me.
In high school we would call into his show and have contests who could stay on air longest with a dumb topic.
