NIT bracket for those who care

Illinois makes it but Minnesota and Penn State do not

I like Temple, Miami, URI/Iona winner, and Murray State to make it to the final 4.

Never know how to pick NIT games. Are teams playing with chip on shoulder or dont care/devastated?

With Alabama firing Anthony Grant, and Alabama in NIT, that's interesting, not sure I've ever seen a coach fired who would make NIT, could've waited til NIT was over..

GW, Miami, URI and Tulsa.

Let's make the NIT Final 4 the "all-current-or-former-members-of-former-Rutgers-conferences" doubleheader.

That ought to pack the Garden.

you have a short memory as Waters was fired before RU got to the 2nd round of the NIT winning at Penn State and losing at St Joes

Kind of surprised Yale didn't get an auto-bid as co-champion (which they officially are) of the Ivy League. I guess you have to win the regular season outright to get an NIT autobid?

Yale not making it is crazy their rpi was like 64 and they were a good team.

Temple-Pitt in the 2nd round could actually be interesting
I actually like several teams in this thing, but as someone above said, it's hard to know if a team is gonna be interested in the NIT.

Arizona State was invited with a 17-15 record. I think it's safe to say if RU ever finishes with a record slightly above .500, the Scarlet Knights will get a bid.

A lot of possible solid matchups in the later rounds.

I believe it's one champion per league. In other leagues that tied for first, the team that earned the #1 seed in the conference tournament got the NIT autobid.
