Agreed. I missed that Mizzou game but was there for the UNLV game in '91. Would like to know how they compare from anyone who went to both games.

Shack was in da house
As in Shaquille O'Neal for the Mozzou game? Did we recruit him at all? I know he lived in Newark for a while
Are you joking? If not, just look at the screen name of the person you quoted.
Lol...whoops, note to self - read the screen names of posts I reply to
Was at both. Both were loud. Darryl Smith played the game of his life against Mizzou. We got payback on UNLV. They trashed us on national TV the year before. I remember they cut away from the game with about 5 mins left it was so bad. If I remember, the reason that game was on TV, is that we were playing in place of Temple.

I was there for every one of those games and have been at almost every home game since the RAC opened. I have only missed a few. In the 1975-76 Final Four season I attended 13 games. The first RU game I ever attended was on March 6, 1971 when RU defeated Penn State 84-70 at the Barn.I became hooked on RU B-Ball by the 74-75 season. Talk about being old I am there. I have lived through all the difficult years and certainly need to see some real success again.

We need to meet sometime. Before my first son was born in 2005 I could count on my fingers the number of games I missed since the RAC opened in November 1977 va.....the USSR in that exhibition game.
I was 6 and there in section 118. Same season as our last NCAA tournament game in Atlanta. Still have the ticket stubs.

Speaking of exhibition games...------------
that USSR game was funny..... we had a Russian official doing the game and there was a sequence when he made a dramatic
looking call in favor of the Russians, and got overruled by
the other officials....might have happened a couple of times.

I remember one against China during the John Battle era. The Chinese fans were very into the game...cheering loudly, waving little flags, etc.
