October 13, 1916, 108 years ago today, Rutgers U President William H. S. Demarest and NJ Governor James Fairman Fielder lead a procession to begin the official celebration of Rutgers U, New Brunswick’s 150th anniversary. Various large and small events were held all week to showcase the School. That makes Rutgers U 258 years old - happy birthday
