Our last two SFs, Dane Miller and Etou, even with all the talent in the world were very timid and almost invisible at times. It is the exact opposite with Laurent. He wants the ball and wants to attack the rim with the ball.

Its pretty funny I attached an interview with him from about 6 months ago and the interviewer I guess asked him what type of basketball player are you and in a 60 second span to answer the question he said "(I) go to the basket" seven times.

I'm really glad we got Laurent, hopefully he and Sanders can cure those loooong scoring droughts that seem to happen far too often.

Whether he can consistently knock down shots right now or not, he is still a good get and I'm glad we got him.

First, what a very likable and humble young man Jonathan Laurent is. It is great to have him become a Scarlet Knight.

Hoops wise, I like the way he talks about his aggressiveness. Can't wait to watch him play!

While he appears athletic and has the ability to get to the rim at the HS level he seems more a Slasher than a Shooter.

im happy getting him but he needs to be able to knock down shots to be successful at the next level.

I found it ironic in the video that I attached that even though he says he attacks the basket and all is other videos do that this particular video is a bunch of highlights of him hitting jump shots. From what I read, he is ok, not great, not bad. He is more of a slasher.

He just needs to have the ability to SCORE. If he can't shoot the 20 footer at LEAST be adept at making the ball fall through the little orange hole--from any distance. This is what we need.

I've seen videos of him hitting 3-4 3's in a game. Seems to have a really fundamentally sound shot.

Seems like a smart kid. That should be on the list of things to look for when recruiting from here on out. Seeing we're big ten, i am sure it will be.
