Out of all the open P5 jobs, where would you rank RU in terms of how desirable it is? All of course is hypothetical as we are not an open position

USC easily the best. Then South Carolina. Followed by Miami and Va Tech. Then Maryland and Virginia in this group when it happens after last game. U Hawaii just opened. G5 but What a location ! Who am I missing? I'd put RU in the group with Virgina and Maryland, although the Under Armour big money guy might make it a slightly better job, BUT Football doesn't seem to have much fan support at Maryland. They draw flies.
1.USC
2.South Carolina
3.Miami
4.Virginia
5.RU
6.Maryland
7.Illinois
8.UCF
9. Hawaaii

Look, it really is all relative. Guy's are looking for the right fit.

In terms of a general ranking, we'd probably be really low to be honest. We don't pay a lot, we have a horrible admin, media on them constantly, and easily irritated fanbase. But, all that does come with some nice perks - great recruiting area, B1G, multiple national games, and a loyal fanbase.

I think for guys like Moglia, Schiano, Rhule, Fleck, Diaco, Golden, - we'd be near the top of the stack. They're just great fits, know the area and culture, familiar with recruiting here.

For guys like Fuente, Hermann, Durkin, Holiday, Smart, etc... I just don't see it. Many of those guys would probably pick a school over us that might be on the same level conference-wise.

I'd put RU behind Maryland and more or less tied with Illinois in the 6/7 slot. Big dropoff from #2 to #3, and even bigger from P6 to G5.

Maybe I'm reading your comment wrong, but if you think RU is a better job than Miami and Va Tech, then you lost all credibility as a CFB fan.

Reading it wrong. USCe and Maryland are both better jobs. Probably better ones out there too I don't know the list of all 9(?) positions available.

Gotcha, definitely agree w South Carolina, not sure about Maryland except for the big donor. I'll delete my other post.

I would flip Miami with South Carolina but the rest looks about right. I'm sure many would argue Maryland is better than Rutgers but I don't agree because Maryland people don't give a shet about their football program.

1) USC 2) USCe 3) Miami
Big seperation
4) MD (based on UA support, very underrated) 5) VA tech 6) Rutgers 7) MN 8) IL 9) UCF (wanted to put them higher but need a conference, like MD, very underrated) 10) Haw (what list are they ever 10th on)
