I just rewatched the opening drive against OSU. It was a good mix of pass and run and they had the D off balance. The line was moving quickly, getting good blocks and holes were open and Laviano had time to throw. Everything was as planned.

Laviano needs to hit Carroo on 2nd down for the TD. Carroo beat the CB off the ball and that pass needs to be delivered. That hurt more than the missed FG. But why call a TO after that play. They had the D on the ropes and backed up. By calling a TO they gave OSU a chance to regroup for 3rd down and they burned a TO which this team seems to do every week.

Very frustrating.

I credit Bosa partially for Laviano's bad throw. Bosa beat the O lineman and Laviano saw him coming which made him rush the throw. What Laviano didnt realize that the RB (Goodwin?) picked up the block pretty well. so i think Laviano threw the ball a little bit too early.

Laviano is growing. and we are watching improve by the game. I'm excited to see how he plays in the next game. the kid seems pretty smart in terms of seeing the field and making decisions.

Laviano is growing.....but the OSU game was not one of his better games.
