OT: 2021 NBA Regular Season Thread

Drama queens...nba players...it’s all I’ve got! 😉

Saw a clip of Ben Simmons completely air-ball a wide-open 3 last night.

Meanwhile "fat" Harden had an easy 30pt triple-double with Durant scoring 42.

If this trade works out for the Nets and Philly can't get Simmons/Embiid ti work out - could be a historic screw up.

All reports seem to be, Philly got too cute and wouldn't pull the trigger on a Harden trade and let the Nets swoop in.

Nets win again.
125-123 over Milwaukee (#1 in the east).

Just two incredible plays at the end of the game.
Down 123-122 with under a minute left, Harden misses a 3, runs across court to get his own rebound and gets it to Durant for an easy 3 to go up 125-123.

Bucks final play (3.8 seconds left) went to Middleton who missed a heavily contested 3.
Broadcasters pointed it out - Giannis was in the backcourt to start the play.
They didn't even try to get him the ball on the final play.

I wonder if Ben Simmons is gonna want out of Philly now.. And the Clippers are winning the championship

This Nets team is insane.

Defensively - not good at all.
On any one possession - they may be able to step up and get a stop. But over the course of a game or a quarter it's not good. Really need a buy-out defensive Center. Unfornatuely, with the play-in tournament less teams are "out of it" so the buy-out market may be limited.

Offense - unstoppable.
Last night they were down to the Clippers in the 4th but then it's Durant pull up, Kyrie crazy drive and finish, Kyrie 3, Harden 3, Durant pull up. They scored like 20pts in 5 minutes and took a 10pt lead.

Can they beat the Lakers? No idea. Not sure anyone can.
But they can definitely give it a shot.

Heard someone talking about it:
Nets just need 4 wins in a series:
Kyrie crazy game/Harden crazy game/Durant crazy game/1 collective team game.
With a crazy Joe Harris game lurking where he scores 30 on 8 of 11 from 3.

Since the trade they are 7-3 with wins over the Clippers (#2 in West) and Bucks (#3 in East) .

Saturday night vs. Philly should be a great game.

The Nets have three unstoppable scorers, which gives them a puncher's chance in any game, but they are atrocious defensively.

The Bucks coach is clueless about how to use Giannis. They're using him like Lebron when they should be using him like Shaq.
