Albie Pearson,Roman Mejias,Dave Nicholson, and Sandy Valdespino were the four players of the 50's and the 60's.
Since there are fewer than 400 players in that age range, that is quite an actuarial anomaly, getting into Michael Corleone territory.
Perhaps it's just statistical noise and not the start of something big.
I'll say this though:I've been looking at this list for the past 6 years and have never seen a period of more than 2 deaths in such a short time.
As Walter Alston said:"It's too early to tell."

I had a LA Angel line up card from the early 60's autographed by the Yankee pitcher that day, Whitey Ford. Albie Pearson was the leadoff batter.

Lost it among other things I couldn't replace because of Sandy.

OT but there's a funny video out there of 2 parrots flying around disrupting a UCF softball game. One eventually lands on the home plate umpires shoulder and stays there for a while.

Who, who, who, and who?

When I speak to people at fundraisers or at our museum, everyone tells me I’m starting to resemble my dad.
I figure by the time I’m dead I’ll look exactly like him

Is there a tasteful way to reference his comment on attending funerals?
