What do you guys think are realistic expectations for him this season? I was glad he got a solid ovation when he was introduced today. Time to put this drama behind them.

I consider myself a true Bombers fan and I share his sentiment. I f'ing hate that guy and everything he has done in his career. I think its a disgrace to the uniform that he is still allowed to suit up and represent the Yankee legacy.

Seriously. And I`m a Yankees fan. Quick story. A few years ago a special needs child I know went to a game with his parents. Without any request or warning, this family, upon picking up their tickets was politely asked to wait one moment. Shortly after, a couple staffers whisked them away to the players locker room. This was a game that saw a significant rain delay (I believe it was nearly 2 hours). Amazed, the father of this boy commented how grateful he was and asked why this was happening. The staffer said that this was commonplace under the Steinbrenners and Joe Girardi quickly invited them in. They spoke at length with ALMOST everyone. Giambi offered snacks. Posada gave his cell phone number to the father and told him to call if his son ever needed anything. I was told by the wife herself that Rodriquez did not even acknowledge them as he headed for his pregame ritual of batting practice. When the woman asked a security officer about him the officer said, "we are ashamed he wears the uniform." Yeah, that was the day I stopped "respecting" Alex Rodriguez.
