OT: Antonio Brown

Lol . Doubtful.

Damn shame. Your post was spot on - hes a winner and one of those guys who marches to his own beat. If pagano didn’t get cancer, Arians probably never gets a HC position - but that year in Indy allowed him to show his personality and his coaching acumen.

People...

The Bucs generated this by freezing AB out....he had 3 incentives totaling 1M......one on catches, yards and TD.....he needed 8 more catches for 333K, another TD or 2 for another 333K and a 3rd one.

Tampa chose to play other WRs, knowing full well, AB wanted to reach his incentives and knowing full well, he would explode, because he is 100% unstable.

So they chose to play other WRs.....to suppress his targets and production to avoid paying him the 1M.....should the Bucs have used AB, knowing he is a pain in the neck and milked him all season.....and then essentially set him over the cliff.....

This is not justifying what AB did, but he was stewing on the sidelines....if you ask Brady or Arians if AB had incentives, they wouldn't deny it.....

AB decided to bounce instead and needs help....but the Bucs are as much as fault for coddling and babying....and enabling him.....AND to jerk him around on incentives.....just pay AB his incentives, instead of freezing him out 2 games from his goal.....
This isn’t even a little bit true

Great Point, you can never be too careful with the way the world is.

One night, maybe a decade ago, was at a bar in Montclair with a lady “friend” and some guy, about 5 or 6 years younger (I was late 20s/early 30s at the time), near us had just been in a verbal altercation outside.

He proceeded to show us the pocket knife he had for protection. Told him… “no one ever wins in a bar fight, if you get to the point where you need that, you’ve already lost”. Didn’t seem like a bad kid, just immature as many are.

A few months later he used that knife at the bar… defending himself after his mouth got him into trouble (@zappaa may remember that incident). Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt… but doubt putting convicted felon on his job applications has helped him much in life.

NFL is a violent game, but gotta imagine nobody in the NFL circle really wants that kind of guy in the league - surprised there is not an unspoken rule against somebody like this, and that his behavior was not more self-regulated by the players.
A lot of cameras these days so maybe its hard to get away with. You would probably need a fumble pile or something like when Bill Romanowski broke Dave Meggett's finger on purpose.

Coincidentally , I was just watching a video of NY Jet Mark Gastineau doing a sack celebration vs the Rama in 1983. The Rams players came to kick his butt. Now that kid of celebration is every game lol

One bad decision can ruin your life. That was great advice you gave him. No matter how strong, big, or tough you are, you never know how "things" will go down. Especially in this day and age. You never know what someone is on or what they are packing. Fighting should always be the last course of action. People need to follow Sun Tzu.

Ah that beautiful dump called Shea Stadium!!!

Good times.
Pretty amazing to see a guy celebrate a sack and the other team runs out to beat his butt
Klecko just standing around
Even Madden was like "Both benches empty - haven't seen that in a LONG time"
How things have changed

This isn’t CTE and it isn’t mental health — at least in the way some of the pundits have said it.

AB has been doing this behavior since high school. He cheated through college, abused women, robbed delivery guys, burnt down a house, and nearly killed a kid by throwing furniture off a 16 story building.

He has zero remorse for his actions, and knows how to prey on others to keep getting more and more chances. Even when abusing women.

He’s a clinical psychopath.

That is exactly how I remember the clown's history.
Great player on the field though. I was seriously disappointed in Tampa for picking him up when the rest of the league had avoided doing so.

wait till next year when a team finds their WR position depleted by injuries, or just not producing and a reformed ( according to that team) Antonio Brown rides to the rescue.

By the way: I haven't heard Brown being officially released being reported anywhere.
Could the Bucs be afraid another team will sign him in time for playoffs, if they can't get the NFL Commish to agree to block other teams from signing Antonio after they cut him?
A suspension might result in a hearing if he fights it, team's dirty laundry might come out in fyll view as a result of that move.

Wow. Bombs dropped by AB in his statement through his lawyer. Will be interesting to see how TB reacts and this thing unfolds.

Wow, too injured to go back in but plenty mobile and agile to prance around without jersey and pads. Maybe he needs lighter shoulder pads?

He released the results of the MRI. If all of this is true, it’s not a good look for the TB staff.

Making a spectacle of himself is also not a good look for AB either.

It is not... IF it's true. Ariana and TB are saying his outburst is because he wasn't getting the ball, and this was clear to the players bc he bitched about it at halftime.

There are zillions of cameras during games. There should be film of whether or not Arians gave the throat slash gesture...

I'll take what both Brown and Arias says with a grain of salt.
But Tampa put themselves in this position when they signed him, knowing how he acted with 3 teams before
Brown probably had an ankle issue that was a good excuse for not going in.
But he could have had a painkiller that made it possible to play and that's why Arias told him to go in.
As for the throat slash, cameras aren't checking out bench happenings, so either way proof will be hard to find.in my opinion..

Brown getting surgery might seem to prove his story true, but I feel someone like Brown might just find a surgeon to do an unnecessary surgery on his ankle and everyone will feel Arias was lying.
I feel they are both leaving things out when they give their their versions , which makes what tey both say suspect.

He'll never see a NFL field again.
I wouldn't bet on that. The NFL has given Josh Gordon how many opportunities to re-enter the league and teams have chomped at the bit? Hopefully no other NFL teams give this buttwipe a chance, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did either.

Truth is always somewhere in the middle. I'm inclined to believe Arians, not because of Brown's past, but because I don't see how he could maintain the locker room if ABs story was entirely true.

And while TB did put themselves in this position, let's also remember they won a Super Bowl in part because of him.

a new twist in the saga out today,

Carton & Roberts had her on last night. It was hysterical.

Lives in Jersey City. Surely something to see.

She will use that rendezvous to greatly enhance her “career”, the publicity will skyrocket her fame. She isn’t dumb in that regard, it’s a reflection of the culture we live in. Sadly, it’s what has become of us ….. an ”entertainment” society. You don’t have to look too far to see how those who ”entertain” can achieve positions of wealth and power at the expense of integrity, honesty and toil. Just to make it clear that I’m not a hard heart, the woman is very attractive.

AB is saying what we already knew. Brady is his friend because he can play football. LMAO.

Just so you know not one of her pictures are real. They are all filtered. That’s why they’re fuzzy.
This is her real face.

Total psychopath theory very much in play after hearing this podcast with him:

All about money. All about his narcissism. Ticked by his “prove-it” deal. Threw Brady, Gronk, & Arians under the bus. Even though statistically he got more balls thrown his way than any year with the Steelers. Zero remorse for any of his actions, and absolutely soaking up the attention.
