Apparently anyone who played an NCAA sanctioned sport at an NCAA school is included. And they must have done a lot of research to come up with the names, since I played in the mid-70's. I got a post card notifying me similar to what you get when a company you own stock in gets hit with a class action suit if the stock tanks. Apparently the settlement provides for anyone in the class two free medical evaluations over the next 50 years.

Two free med exams for the athletes and millions in legal fees for the lawyers.

True. And if you don't opt out of the settlement you're barred from filing a suit on your own at a later date.

I have not received mine but will be looking for it in the mail. I just wonder how many are just going to get check for the fun of it.
