Just bought these on ebay. They are 39mm medallions with the names of the 1975-76 undefeated and Final Four Rutgers men's basketball team engraved on the coin. I don't recall these being issued back then. Does anyone know when these were created? Perhaps during one of the several Rutgers reunions of the team? Trying to approximate a date to it. Any info out there is appreciated in advance.

Might consider posting on the Basketball Board. BK118 is a good source over there on this kind of stuff.

Applying the latest web based carbon dating forensic scientific systematic deductive procedures and techniques I have determined that they are from the modern era which began in 1976. Hence that is the earliest they could have been made. So no older that 41 years. Hope that helps!

If anyone's curious, the ebay seller just sent me back a message that said his number coding on the coin holders indicate he got the medallions some time in the 1970s or 1980s but not later than 1987 because he changed the identification system.

I also posted this on the BB board.
