Since a poster decided to go ahead and ruin the other thread, with some seriously ignorant bull poopie, I'd like to take a moment to THANK this team for yet another wonderful season (thus far). To make it to the tournament final, playing the #1 seed on their home turf, go down 1-0 until very, very late in the game, and find it in them to tie it up at 1-1 before falling, wasn't an easy task and - IMHO - these young ladies deserve our THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS for once against making a run to the title game for a 2nd straight season! A much better showing than in last year's final, without question, so maybe next year we get that home field advantage and win it all!

Now let's go make an NCAA tourney run!

Adding congrats to the women for another successful season, hopefully one that did not end today. With so many new players, it really is amazing that they could make it to the B1G final. The past week's games should see them move up in the polls and in the RPI.

I'm just hoping that they get the NCAA invite. With just 4 losses counting today's, and several wins over top 25 teams, one would think so. But after what happened to the men's lacrosse team last year, defeating JHU twice only to have them be chosen for the tournament instead of Rutgers, I am not so sure. RU holds two wins over ranked NW, which I believe are the only two losses NW suffered all season. Will both get in? Or just one? And if the latter, it wouldn't surprise me if the NCAA screwed RU again. One strong thing in our favor was the trip to the Final Four last year, which makes RU seem like more of a blue blood than NW is, though I know little of their longer-term history.

No way in hell we don't get a bid. Top 25 RPI and 64 teams get in. Lock-it-up. Probably get a home game, too, IMHO.

Great Tournament by the RU Women !
Very proud of the team.

We will get a championship in time, but at least the women have been at the game twice. Great team.

Difference between a great team and a great program is great programs are good every year and reload on the fly. This is starting to look like a great program in the making. A couple of strong NJ players coming in next year as well. Unfortunately, the best NJ player is headed to Penn St. RU/PSU will be B1G's top rivalry in the sport.

Aa predicted not only would we get in but we would host a game. Crazy thing is that both Minnesota and Penn State are in our bracket. Well, in our region, we could meet Penn St in the Sweet 16 in Minnesota in the Elite 8. 6 B1G schools total with Mich, Wiscy, and NW in as well.

I guess we were the 7-seed in the region and between 25-28 overall.

This women's soccer team is Rutgers best, most successful team in the entire athletic department.

They deserve our strongest support and attention.

At least we don't meet the top seed in the 2nd round ... My bad. This isn't NCAAW.

We need a scouting report on Harvard's team.

Seriously, nice follow-up season by the Lady Knights. Should be plenty more games this season...
Harvard is a good, not great, team. They have a stud forward Margaret Purce and everything goes through her. A tough 2nd round draw with G-town who is very good. But, WE'RE IN!!!

A little surprised (disappointed) in the lack of respect in seeding for the B1G. Only Minny got a seed (and a #4 seed). Clearly the southern bias is alive and well - Florida did not deserve a #1 seed and Auburn did not deserve a #4.

Tiernan is like the big kid in rec soccer who has the obnoxious dad that screams out "just run through her!"
