I highly doubt he thinks twice about RU fans. He's miles away from here geographically and mentally. Like in another stratosphere.

yep, he ran for the border ( run rabbit run to the safety of your mentor) once he seen he was failing as an OC and his once promising future would be on the downturn if he returned.
If he does wind up with the JMU position instead of a P-5 OC job : he can thank his time as the RU OC for delaying his clime up the coaching ladder . But thank Herman for putting it back on track.

Some thought Drew took the Texas OC position, when he ran from Rutgers, instead of just being the Longhorns WR coach and passing coordinator , but that notion was quickly dispelled .
Drew might not become a P-5 HC as quickly as if he moved from Texas to another P-5 school as their OC,but could move up into a mid major HC position quickly if he's successful as the JMU HC.

I am sorry , for his performance here, he absolutely deserved to get killed. That’s not saying he couldn’t be a good coach some day , but his tenure here was historically bad. Maybe he would have been better in year 2 here? Maybe ash panicked because he’s in over his head and needed to bring a kill type in? We will never will know the answer to these questions.
The only thing we know for sure is pretty much every button ash has pushed has been wrong.
