OT: English Premier League Championship Sunday

i think midfield depth is a bigger issue. winks is likely leaving, so that leaves us with 3 in MF plus Sarr, who's still real young and had an up and mostly down season in France.
Agree there have been a few names mentioned. We need a more progressive midfielder, the three remaining are more defense oriented. Also need someone to be a set piece specialist. Conte wants at least 6 new signings. Winks leaving is a positive.

having the golden boot winner as your corner and set piece crosser isn't the best use of his talents.

Rumors that Lo Celso is leaving on a permanent deal. Big money loss but proves Conte is in charge, not Levy.

if they can get some money for GLC (20-25m or so) and Gil, and getting back half of what they spent on ndombele, i'd consider it a win. that would at least cover (hopefully) what was spent on romero and betancur.

Rumor is more like 16-18. Gil is interesting, could get more for him. I feel that Ndomburger is going to be tough to move. Doubt we get 1/2 of what we paid for him. Reggie might bring us a decent amount back.

i'd like to keep reggy. he's got some development to do, but the skill and pace are there.

Who’s following?? Hoping Steven Gerrard and Aston Villa can pull off an upset over City and open the door for his former club Liverpool. (Besides, would be two epic collapses by City)

Tottenham and Arsenal still battling for the top 4.

Burnley and Leeds tied for the last relegation spot, winner gets to stay in the EPL, loser moves down (if they both win or draw Burnley stays)

Going to be a fun Sunday of football.
Metric Football. Wrong board.

Imagine being such a loser that you open a thread for a sport you dislike and still feel the need to make a dumb comment.

As a Chelsea fan not happy Conte is with Spurs but he'll continue to do great things there until he gets the itch to leave which will probably be sooner rather than later.

Hope Forest makes it up and stays up. With the right investment in support infrastructure they can sustain success.

Such a storied club. It’s good for soccer to have Forest and Leeds in the prem.

Reports that Mane is looking for a "new challenge" and is interested in Bayern... Would be sad to see him go but wish him well.

On the flip side, this would be out of nowhere, but I would love to see Lewandowski in a Liverpool jersey.

Ivan Perisić to Spurs official, just announced. Was part of the all Serie A team in Italy last season. Nice pickup for Tottenham.

Saw that Mane is definitely leaving. It's a shame, that front line of Mane, Diaz, Salah was great to watch.

So, Vela has resigned through 2023. Bale signed for this year. Bale's contract is for one year, so he would presumably play in the early part of the 2023 season. LAFC also signed Chiellini through 2023.

Gareth Bale to LAFC in the MLS
I wonder if the reason NYCFC don’t get these big name players is because they don’t have their own stadium? Would be nice but they’re having another great season without them so might be a moot point.

Personally I wish Man City would keep Jesus and Sterling. But if there’s issues in the locker room, then they’re better off elsewhere. Although Jack Grealish is hilariously the most overrated player in all of pro sports compared to his salary.

Interesting article in how they are built in that they’re not as stacked with All World Players as fans all over the world thinks they are. This may be a reason why they always run out of gas in the Champions League but is still good enough to win the Premier League almost every year.
