OT: Expressions You Truly Hate

Not sure if these are still buzz words but when I was still working and we were putting in an Oracle system (15+ years ago)
We need to drill down to get sufficient granularity
And then we'll circle back next week.

Delicious used to describe anything other than food, as in “What a delicious day”

Agreed...but "tasty" is legit

My God I hate this. I own a small farm with animals and all I hear my wife's friends say is, "how are your fur babies doing". I always feel like saying, "I don't know, but I can tell you the last batch tasted great".
Dead to me....
(there's another thing I say and hate.) hahaha
I'd like to add-
For the love of G*d.
I must say this 200 times a day.
I also assume I might be asking some people very soon "WTF are you high?"

with all due respect,

followed by something completely dis-respectful
Yes, this one bothers me too. Also starting off with “to be honest....”

So I’ll just assume you’re normally lying then if you don’t start with “to be honest.”

I hate when announcers (or really anyone) pluralize a player’s name as if there were more than 1 of each.

Example:
“The Derek Jeters and Mariano Riveras of the league/team.”

No Brainer

Announcer (usually the color man) fakes the belly laugh with a quick shallow "Fake 3 Ha Ha Ha's" after a play that was "too easy"...that really pisses me off!!!

It's not you, it's me....
Nobody ever says that to me. They just tell me it’s me. 😀

Also, I’ve said it to others a couple times and really meant it, ‘cause it’s always true. Usually, I get a response along the lines of: “no shit, Captain Obvious”.

Sucks to be me. 😢

Starting a sentence or conversation with the word So.

So, I went to the game. No it’s, I went to the game.

When did using So to start a conversation become the thing. Nails on the blackboard for me.

The same time UM did. lol

Corporate jargon can be pretty annoying too....maybe so much that a separate thread for it would make sense. But for now, I’ll keep it here.

Let me kick the tires on that a bit.

What do we need to really get to that hockey stick trajectory?

Let’s really button this up with belts AND suspenders.

1. “Needless to say,” followed by saying something.

2. A set of circumstances is given, followed by “which begs the question....” Unless describing circular reasoning, it raises the question, it doesn’t beg it.

Some Former coach jargon I hated:
Right from the get go.

We all need to skate to the puck.

He had a leg...

From work:
That being said ... (what exactly is being said?)
We need to keep our eye on the ball. (Really?)
