I’m sorry- but non stop posts- even if they are a moderator who used to crush other posters with a bot 1 rating..,posting new threads with just links and no opinion is lazy and frustrating.
Notice they also do it non stop in the middle of other threads as well.

BTW- I am ok with links but please, don’t be so damn lazy. Are you afraid to give your opinion? Or maybe even a summary.,,

I don’t know why it just set me off today…but I have a gut feeling, I am not alone. And most likely, older posters that remember thread ratings are on the same page as me.

Agree, it's lazy BS in my opinion .
A brief statement of what the poster thinks of the article would be nice.
Adding if it's a paywall article should be a must and summarize what the article says instead of post and run

OK- I admit- I still cant get over his 10 years of some sort of bot rating every thread as a 1 that he didn't like, pisses the living F out of me. But now, he posts threads that he would have driven to the ground previously.

To this person- Some threads are pretty cool but act like a real person and give an opinion and not just post non stop links

I post links to things and sometimes discuss them or post snippets from paywall stuff. I also post for the comments in the tweets even if an article may be paywall. I don't always comment though. I leave it up to each individual to read or not, up to them. I post news, notes, stats, interesting, funny stuff etc..from around CFB. I dump/confine it all in the games thread though because it's convenient weekly thread to discuss CFB along with the games etc and then eventually it falls off the front page until a new one the next week... Sometimes people take info that I've posted there and start new threads for whatever reason and that's up to them. I've thought it would be better for those RU news related threads to be just dumped in one weekly thread in the same fashion but again that's up to the individual.

Eh ... the two-minute spaz-posting isn't my favorite, but are we really complaining about someone posting RU football links?

I just assumed Richie encouraged him to do it in the hopes of sparking some relevant conversation.

There is context to it...but also- post a link- tell us why you are posting and not just do it like a bot- and then - don't fill other threads with 15 of the same. Why I said there is context- this moderator is the same person, when you used to be able to rate threads- he would auto rate threads he didn't like with a program that would just saturate it with a thousand 1 ratings.

Like I said- many of the links are good but put some context to it.

@Richie O , can this be addressed in some way? Your posts and lots of weekly game posts, prediction threads get lost in a wash of 8-23 daily posts with no replies.

You bring a lot of value and interestimg material for discussion to the board. A 5 star poster except when you post on Leipold. 😁

I’ve actually been annoyed too by what feels like spamming the board with individual posts/links and no comment/opinion….from a moderator no less. It pushes active discussions down the board. I like that they’re all football topics….that’s good. But how about one weekly thread (i.e. “VaTech week news & notes”) into which all of these links go?

Just put the daily links into one thread. That’s what the mods did back in the day. It shouldn’t be complicated and not worth getting upset. As for the thread rating, didn’t care about it then and don’t care about it now.

TT and I have had major issues in the past and I agree the threads, especially behind a paywal,l are questionable.

I will say the guy does a great job promoting Olympic sports on that board.

Spanky is a really good guy no matter how deranged his opinions are (just bustin chops Spank)

Excellent! Everyone will know exactly where to go and if you miss something one day you will always be able to catch up.

Now listen you #$()$*# (#*&$# son of a #)$#&, the next time I see your @#*@&$@$@$ $@#, I'm going to @#$@(#$&*@ a #*$&#$ #$*#&$# and then #}{:?$#(&%# #$# ))&*#$. Of course, with a glass of well aged single malt scotch.

Thank goodness we've cleared all that RU football content out of the way so we have prime board space for more renditions of "WHERE SHOULD UH MOVE!!?" posts the day before game day. Joyous.

At least give it the weekend, dude.

Did I miss the best pizza thread?

The thread could have been a little less hostile to start, but I think this is a good solution.

Agree.. it is weird sometimes. Everything scrolls off the board. How about one post with links to all teh stories. And just do the headlines.. underline them.. and link the text.
The mods are doing it to drive engagement here. They just throw a bunch of linked stories on the wall to see what sticks and hope we start commenting.

More forum members replying = a more active forum = higher marginal ad revenue

Yes and I personally don't understand why it couldnt be a single news post with all the stories in one place.

Edit: lol looks like this was already taken care of.

I mentioned this exact thing to @RutgersRaRa yesterday. Six out of the seven top threads on the board were from one poster. Each one with a solitary link to another article.
@MrsScrew and I had considered marching in protest with flamethrowers and M-80s, just to give you an idea of how serious we are in our conversations about social etiquette. It was either that or not that, and we took the high road. But there's still time.
