Showing my age, but a great pre-weekend song - "This Beat Goes On/Switchin' To Glide" by the Kings
Not a "Friday" song per se, but every Friday afternoon WRSU would play "The Animals'" "We Got To Get Out Of This Place" to signal the upcoming weekend.
My freshman roommate in Woodbury played it every Friday when we woke up

The Five O'Clock Whistle with Shadoe Stevens! They'd start off with Working For The Weekend, segue to Friday On My Mind, then mix in Bang On The Drum, Party Town, clips from Thank God It's Friday and Take This Job and Shove It!, all the while blowing the steam whistle. Loved that as a way to start the weekend.
You're right HeyHuey, that's was a great version of "Friday On My Mind." Just read up on Moore's death from 2011. Heart attack in his sleep at 58. Blood alcohol content 0.38 where 0.40 -.0.70 is considered the lethal range.
