Yeah three of the Kings' wins were in overtime. In both 2012 and 2014, the Kings won the first two games in overtime, then Game 3 via shutout, and then lost Game 4 only scoring one goal. In Game 5, the Rangers lost in overtime but the Devils won to make the series close. Game 6 was a total disaster from the beginning though with Bernier's major penalty that the Devils then gave up three goals on.Sad but true. IIRC, most of the 2014 games were ultra close, but the puck finally got past HL at the end of the day.
I remember in 2012 Games 1 and 2 easily could have gone the other way with Fayne shanking on an open net in overtime in Game 1 and Kovalchuk hitting the post with about 15 seconds left in regulation in Game 2. If those two shots go in, it's a much different series.
