OT: Lonnie Warwick dead at 82

He was the MLB for The Purple People Eaters,the moniker for the Vikings defense in the late 60's and the 70's.
The Vikings played the Chiefs in IV, the last pure Super Bowl before the merger took full effect.
I bet the Chiefs at my local pool room-the tables were always in immaculate condition being a typical Goodfellas place-getting 13.5.
It was the only bet that I ever considered to be a sure thing.

As a Raider fan back then, I recall a magazine cover that I cannot quite find about Superbowl XI that read "Those guys block out the sun".. with Gene Upshaw and Art Shell on the cover. Like the KC fan above.. thinking of Minnesota Vikings make me think of a loss to my team in a Superbowl.
