Rutgers is not a national recruiting school by and large. May be better off dropping women's volleyball and replacing with another women's sport. Out here in California, women's wrestling is rising. Not sure if that is an option based on programs in NJ.

Dude, that is not happening. They will be part of the new building. Hobbs just has to get serious about that program and hire a top coach, we might need to wait for more years due to funding since we can't afford it right now. But once the building is up in two years and we are close to getting fully vested we will be able to get great coaches here. Women's Volleyball is very popular in the Olympics and the most popular Women's sport in the Big Ten.

Exactly. We just need to bide our time on some sports until we get fully vested. Men's soccer though, is not and will not be a sport we defer building until that time. My guess is Hobbs already is working with Sarah to identify which targets to pursue for Men's Soccer HC.

Hobbs already said that it is a sport we should be competitive right away. Last year it was the program's "2006" (or better even) this is year they are as far removed from that as humanly possible. Women's Soccer lost a lot of players and were suppose to take a step back this year and they did, but they were also ranked in the top 25 most of the season, only lost once in October and are playing in the Big Ten tournament against Penn State on Sunday. That wasn't suppose to happen, but it did. I don't know if they have the firepower to go too far this year but they didn't fall into a black hole like the Men's team.

Something has to change.

The top local players are no longer looking at the program. I have coached on the academy level and have many connections still to support that.

This is why I wanted Flood gone much earlier. It became clear recruits (at the level we had gotten used to) did not want to come play for him.

fyi - "mamaru" is NOT a Rutgers fan, however, has been an avid DD hater/basher from his/her very first post. Literally. Funny thing is when we had a very good season in 2015, going to the B1G semis, NCAA 2nd round, and landing DD the COTY honors in the conference, he/she had not a single word to say the entire run. I'm not defending DD here - at all - just presenting facts about this poster to the board. Whether or not he/she coaches/has connections, nobody knows, but if so my guess is that DD wronged him in some way, shape, or form, based on some of the nonsense (including flat-out lies) posted in the past.

I figured that one out when he referred to the RU Fanbase as "you" instead of "us" or "we". A weak job indeed of covering up his fake RU fandom.

Congrats to men's soccer team! They win their final regular season game 3-2 at Bradley. Now on to the B1G tournament next Saturday and a very winnable 8-9 matchup against Michigan.
