1. He could cost us a 10 million a year in lost donations and, as long as he won games, it would be worth it because a winning team would produce far more, and
2. The amount of lost donation money from Bernie Marcus, alone, over the years because the school (administration, faculty, student body) has gone out of its way to try and be the most liberal college in the country likely dwarfs one million dollars ... yet you'd never complain about the school keeping out of promoting liberal ideology and politics for the benefit of its bank account. Don't be a hypocrite.
3. Hiring Julie Hermann because she was a gay woman cost the school over a million dollars and that was pure politics.
