OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread 9/25

6 penalties for Nebraska and just early in the 2nd qtr lol. They’re coming in for a game tying TD too.

Iffy kicking game but they make the 28yd FG 7-3 MSU.

Tenn up 14-10 on Florida

Adrian Martinez with a 12yd TD run. Had a nice scramble from the pocket on what looked like a sure sack and completed a pass downfield to keep the drive going.

10-10 MSU Nebraska

Wow what a catch and run by Heyward for 38yds. Ironhead’s son for sure lol. He bowled over the guy while making the catch and a couple more after haha.

I guess MSU didn’t want Nebraska to feel lonely with bumbling STs play…botched FG before half for MSU. 13-10

Just flipped back to OSU game, they were saying some player walked off field and quit team after words with Day - anyone know exactly what happened?

Martinez athleticism for the TD Nebraska 20-13 7:30 left

Nebraska coming around looking over the last few games after Illinois and I couldn’t even tell you that they’ve stopped the mental mistakes fully. Defense looking good.

@cubuffsdoug called this possibility earlier this week and wasn’t sold on Tucker and MSU…good call

Jesus does Nebraska even practice special teams? Now they bobble the kick

Well despite their mistakes they were in it last week and this week again and both on the road. Think what they could be if they weren’t so mistake prone lol.

Well there’s another Martinez INT. MSU just needs a FG now but Walker to the 1 now.

MSU kicks 21yd FG for the win 23-20

Frost 5-15 in games of 1 score or less.

WVU OU 13-13 OU driving at the WVU 30 less than 1 min left

I’ve said this before but it feels like a wide open year where anything is possible. No one seems invincible.
Definitely… It’s the extra year where super seniors giving many teams a chance against the blue bloods that lose their best to the draft in years 2-3.

Indiana isn't as good as last year, to say the least.
Consistency isn’t easy on a yearly basis or even a weekly basis. Goes for us too. Good showing this past week against Michigan but have to keep it up weekly and manage the grind. You can’t rest on your laurels or you’ll get taken down.

Actually the more you accomplish the harder it is, opponents don’t take you lightly anymore and at the highest level you’ll get the best out of everyone trying to take you down every week.

Oregon State beat USC 45-27 at USC. First win there since 1960. Jonathan Smith doing a decent job there. You feel like there's a steady build into at least a respectable team. Maybe not world beaters but lingering just above or below .500

Another story of a coach from "home" returning home. He is originally from California, but played QB at Oregon State. In 2000, under Coach Dennis Erickson, Smith led Oregon State to a 11-1 record, beating Notre Dame 41-9 in the Fiesta Bowl, ending the season with a 4/5 ranking.

He is only 42 years old, and making only $2.4 million per year. Smith coached under Chris Petersen at Boise State and UW. Oregon State appears to be getting better each year (leaving out 2020, which was a weird year). In his second year, they went 5-7 losing three games by less than 3 points.
