Eli was best as a medium to long ball passer (like Kerry Collins) who needed more time without having guys in his face. You know in baseball some guys are power pitchers and some are knucklers? Eli's short passes could be comically bad but he could lead the league in longer passes in he air . As a rookie he could throw a screen to a solitary receiver all alone and miss him by 7 feet. In his last years Eli looked the same way as he did when a rookie. I wasn't thinking "oh Ei is too old" - I was thinking he couldn't get to make his best throws. His moneymaker in later years was a slant to Beckham which Giants ran over and over and over
