All kidding aside, the article says he refused medical attention, but if his head hit the floor like that he should get checked as a precaution.

I am sure a lawyer told him that today.
Seriously though, head injuries are tricky. You may feel fine at the time, but there could still be a slow bleed going on or a clot. He fell backward without bracing himself since he was knocked out.

Yeah it's always a good idea to get checked just in case. In April there was a 20-year old camogie (female hurling) player in Ireland that was hit in the head with a stick during a game. She got up and walked off and then died later that day.

Yup, Liam Neeson's wife too. Actress' name escapes me right now...

Rangers fan, like their teams history, are abysmal and embarrassing . Must be from desperation from the lack of Stanley cups over the last 8 decades (just 1 in 82 years) but some of the lowest class people are rangers fan. The perp is from Staten Island ...enough said lololol

Jets 1 super bowl in last 53 years much better then rangers 1 cup in last 82 years.

also factor in the rangers had a salary advantage for many years (before salary cap) and there weren't many teams in the league for much of this history.

I think that info was corrected in an article I'd read. The puncher was charged with 2 assaults etc...One set of charges for the TB fan in the video and another set for a guy who held the puncher down until police arrived. The guy who held him down refused medical attention for whatever cuts and scrapes he got but the TB fan was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Ranger fan holding him down?? The video shows Rangers fans helping him and asking for security. Was this after the 5 mins the guy was out cold?

No some fan held down the puncher from getting away. That bystander was assaulted by that puncher...I think they said cuts/scrapes on the face of that bystander suffered and he refused medical attention. The TB fan that fell to the ground was taken to the hospital.

The puncher got 2 sets of charges leveled against him. One for the TB fan and one for the bystander who held him down and kept him from getting away.

Ok thanks. Hadn't heard that. Glad they got the guy.

It read a little confusing. The ASSAulter (why not just call him an ASSh*×e) had one charge of assault for the TB victim and one charge of assult for the good samaritan who tried to hold the assh*+e down until the cops arrived.

Sorry my posts here are often stream of conscious and scatterbrained and might not be the most concise and coherent.

We all know that all NY fans are pure as the driven snow. But Philly fans? BAD, All BAD...
It's funny you say this. I went to Denver for a wedding a few weeks ago and attended a Rockies game. During the whole game I kept saying to my wife what a well behaved crowd it was. They don't know how good they have it there. I could get used to going to games with polite people. My senses only went off after I saw a fan outside the stadium wearing a Dodgers jersey. I've seen too many videos on their fan behavior, but no issues at all that day.

Jets fans including Fatso said the worst fans ever encountered were Denver Broncos fans were by far the worst on the planet.

As a Ranger fan from NJ, my perception is that the bad fans are generally from the 5 boroughs. That should not taint the entire fanbase since that applies to all the NY teams as well. That being said Devils fans are no prize either. Most look like they live in their parents basement.

I actually agree with that and was going to mention that in my post. Having been to Broncos games, their fans are pretty bad. That is why I was surprised the Rockies fans were great. Probably more related to them being consistently bad.

However, I laughed when you referenced Jets fans. There is no worse fanbase than Jets fans.

Natasha Richardson. Vanessa Redgrave's daughter. She fell on a beginner ski slope and had to rushed to the hospital later.
As a skier, you should never ski without a helmet. I used to be one of those idiots years ago but you can't control others, so better to be safe.

Ha, they are a good reference. If shitty fans are out shittied by another fan base they take notice!!

the bolts have won twice as many cups in the last two years as the rangers have won in the last 82 years.
Rangers fans are desperate pathethic and angry.
No one more desperate then @RU Cheese
I haven't seen one angry Rangers fan in this thread. Actually no one is more angry than you. Must suck being a fan of a team that no one cares about.

I'd say it's usually the goombahs from Staten Island that cause problems. Same goes for men's league players. Whenever I had a team of Staten Islanders ask to join the league I was running, I asked the local refs if they had problems with them at other rinks. It was about 50/50, some teams were fine and others came to me because they were kicked out of leagues closer to their home and could have had a Slapshot sequel written about them.

Where did you run mens leagues? I play and have played in my fair share the last 15 years

Thanks, Section. The little brother / inferiority complex that Devils fans have is very real and is, quite frankly, really embarrassing. It's all they live for.

A woman I work with was at @superfan01 and @40Berg s wedding in Chelsea a couple of years ago, so for whatever reason, they like to give me crap. Weird dudes

What are we inferior too? Your 1 cup in 82 years makes us super jealous.
Also aren't you the same poster who posted the weird asian porn in the Ron Harper thread a few weeks back by mistake or was that someone else?
