With Gleyber it's always nervous time.
With Judge, it isn't about talent. He is HOF talent- hitting and in the field...He just needs two years with no stint on the DL...
I put this one on Cashman. Torres can’t play SS and Bruce can’t play 1B. For now put DJ at first and Torres at 2B and get a defensive SS.

Tauchman is not a first baseman either but I'd give him a shot. Tauchman is a better athete, he hustles on every play and in 2019 anyway he had a great bat.
Not going to happen, but I would bench or fine Sanchez after he turned a double into a single by loafing to first base. Tauchman bailed him out by his great pinch-running.
He's not a good defender anywhere on the field. But he did make the teams as the Yankees starting first baseman

If the Yanks don't do well in the playoffs this year, the blame can be put on management who was reluctant to go beyond the salary cap threshold. There had to have been a bunch of backup 1B who were better than Bruce.
This is the Yankees we're talking about. They shouldn't be bargain basement shopping, they should be using their money advantage that everyone whines about.
Just watch games where Kluber starts and see how the bullpen gets drained and it trickles down for the next few games.
A right handed pitcher that pitches to contact at Yankee stadium is a recipe to disaster. NYY going to need to score 6+ runs to have a chance when he's on the mound, imo.

Yes I really liked Gleyber at 2nd. To me me the combo of Glyber and Didi was Great.
It's April. Calm down. Doubt both will be awful all year long. Could be wrong but it's so early to project a great or bad year of any player so far. Tallion was lights out in the summer heat in Florida.

There are just too many holes right now to think every aspect will get better.
Outside of DJ and a healthy Gio, that does seem to be the real weak spot that Cashman has to address at some point. The Yankee championships of the 90's 00's were built just the opposite.
Would also help if they could get a real SS- have DJ at 1B and move Torres back to 2B. Ever since the move to SS- he has been a different player, and that is not a good thing. It is also telling that most feel more comfortable with a 37 y/o Gardner playing CF over the 70mil man who is much younger.
We have all seen periods where the Yanks may not hit well for 10-15 games but the difference this year is the horrible OBP and SLG- can’t remember the last time I saw the Yanks so low in both
Plus, there seems to be an unpleasant odor coming from the second base area.
Everyone keeps saying the analytics prove avg doesn't win games but these strike out bums we have in the line up just kill me. I really don't care about baseball anymore. Oh and the nike swoosh on the uniforms is heresy
