The Mets have led all three games in Atlanta in the 8th inning or later, yet have used their closer only once. Makes sense.

It's not even June and the Yankees have already provided their fans with lots of great moments and big victories. The ride is good.
Besides, I like our chances in the playoffs. We just took 5 of 7 from the defending champs.

Hey, you just said your starting pitchers are better than the Astros,and you already had the edge in the bullpen, and you took 5 of 7 from them,and added Stanton so yes,it's in the bag,World Series bound. As far as the Yanks have already provided their fans with so much excitement and it's not even June,that's true,but will all be forgotten by this demanding fan base. Expect to be listening to "Yankee Rehab" the 1st week of October on WFAN, after the EPIC FAIL.
But you are only rooting for another team to FAIL; you're not rooting FOR anything. Don't make sense to me.
Yes, if the Yankees don't win it all, I'll be disappointed, but winning it all isn't easy. There are teams in the way that also want to win.

I don't know why you are claiming that I ever said that the Yankees starters are better than the Astros.
The Astros have three starters with the lowest ERAs in the AL...and Dallas Keuchel and Lance McCullers.
The Yankees have Severino and.......if Tanaka and CC bring their A games....and if Sonny ever straightens things out....and If Montgomery returns and regains his form....or if we get help from Sheffield or Adams...or if we make a trade for a top-flight starter.That's a lot of ifs.
But our team is better than last year's. Quality bats up and down the lineup.
Now...did they put that fire out yet at Citifield ?

I do not control what other fans do or don't do. I personally don't care how the Mets do, UNLESS they are playing the Yankees; it is really the only time that it matters to me. Curious though, are the Mets fans not guilty of the same? I'll save you the trouble, yes. That is not to say you are one of them, I don't remember. We all have our share of trash talking, over the top fans; it's not my style, but whatever suits them.

I was more pointing out that a team with easily the best starting rotation can be defeated.
I still think the Astros are the favorite to win it all again. I was just pointing out that the Yankees still have a reasonable shot at it.
And BTW you can keep saying that it's some sort of tragedy if the Yankees don't win it all this year. I beg to differ.
Sure I'll be bummed if we don't get to the Canyon of Heroes. But I'm mostly enjoying this season. And with so many young talented players it looks like the Yanks will be strong for the foreseeable future.

I certainly root for the Mets,as I have for over 52 years,but like many Yankee fans, I take great pleasure in seeing NYC's other team fail. Unfortunately, my pleasure of seeing this happen isn't even close to what theirs has been,lol.

Losing the wild card one-and-done game is a failure for most teams, but yeah...probably not for Mets fans.

Is the Mets manager at risk of being fired? They are under .500 and out of the NL East race in June after an 11-1 start.
And what about their GM? All the guy has done is make one lucky trade for Cespedes (remember: he initially traded for Carlos Gomez instead) that got them to the World Series. He has been absolutely awful otherwise, especially when it comes to handling injuries.

The owners shouldn't sell and they should keep the GM and the manager.
Also, they should give contract extensions to Reyes, Cespedes, and Bruce.
Sandy should've been fired a long time ago for at the very least not building up the minor leagues. The 2015 WS gave Terry Collins two more years of employment than he deserved. If money was an issue for the Wilpons, they shouldve hired someone from Tampa, Houston, KC, or even Pittsburgh, who built their MLB teams into a decent to great teams with a great MiLB systems... NOT hire Sandy off a recommendation from thei BFF Selig.

What I find so funny is when you, and your minions complain about getting banned on Mets threads,and bash whoever "rats" you guys out,you turn around and cry, basically trying to do the same thing! I truly enjoy the back and forth,and hate when you guys get banned. Sadly though, the last 2 years, I've had to eat way more crow than I care too,lol. With that said,as the Mets tank with no hope in sight,I'm spending a fortune lighting candles praying for the Epic Fail.:thumbsdown::smiley::cry:
