OT: OFFICIAL - Make Fun of the Mets/Yanks Thread - 2018 Season

Yeah...THAT'S what everyone wants to hear. A Mets fan giving his perspective on the Yankees.
You should look up the word "jealousy" in the dictionary.
When was the last time the Mets were 30 games over .500 ?

If you don't get past the Wild Card Game, will it matter? Several of you have already gone on record saying in the next 5 years, the Yankees will win multiple World Championships. How about getting there once with this group. It's been 9 years since you got there.

Dude...every day the Yankees win matters to me. And every day the Mets lose I'm a little happier. So although last night was particularly awful, things are going pretty good.
Sure I'd like for them to win it all. But there are a few other top-quality teams. Maybe a couple that may even be better on paper than the Bronx Bombers. We'll see.
As a Mets fan I know said a few years back...."you gotta be in it to win it."
Now, just try to stay ahead of the Marlins.

Listening to Francessa today, it was "Yankee Rehab", wow, not exactly a group from Mensa, lol. Some of the stupidest complaints and solutions I have ever heard from a group of fans that have a team with the 2nd best record in baseball, unreal. I think they all are feeling the EPIC FAIL on the way.:bomb::boom::fire:

Are the Mets really gonna go into next season with Austin Jackson and the Toddfather as their best hitters ?

You've certainly been the most balanced Mets fan here. That being said, like the rest of them you're getting way too excited over the first few weeks of the season.
What you call "kissing the Yankees ass" is just logically reacting to the fact that the Yankees are perhaps the most storied franchise in sports and have a bunch of young, exciting players. And a ton more of fan interest. I am surprised that Yankees-Redsux has so much interest in mid April. But nobody is surprised that there is so little interest in Mets-Marlins in week 2 of the season. A lot fewer people care about the Mets than care about the Yankees. A lot less.
Deal with it.
Well said

We need Didi, Judge, and Sanchez back before that west coast trip.
And Boston to keep losing....even though Marlins are up next.

Marlins? Come on, they can't even beat out the Mets!!! You can't be worried about them.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Now the Mets sell their best hitter to the Phillies ? deGrom should sue for lack of support.

Wednesday, October 3rd, I will be hosting a EPIC FAIL Party in Hazlet,NJ. The following day, I'm renting a local VFW to invite Yankee fans to talk to professionals and seek help on dealing with said EPIC FAIL. PS. Who pitches the WC game for the Yankees. Traveling from Boston to the West Coast to play that game can't help.:bomb::boom::fire:

All to play one more game. Year 2 of your prediction of multiple WS Championships in the next 5 years. That window is closing. Here's my prediction, how about NONE.
That extra game is what the season is about, all teams strive for the playoffs. FYI, this is year 1 of that prediction and I'm pretty sure I said multiple championships over the next decade. These baby bombers are ready for a 10+ year run. Very exciting!

Find it, pretty sure you said 5 years, whatever, either way, I know the Yankees are in position to win more than the sadly run Mets, but I think your way off base, this ain't the Core 4 your talking about. To say in this day and age of salary caps and free agency, a 10 year time frame is comical, and that's not even considering the injury factor.Dream on.
