Former NY Ranger coach, GM and Hockey Hall of Fame member, Emile Francis, has passed away at 95. I was a big Ranger fan back then, attending the final game of the '72 Cup which NY lost to Boston.

My dad knew Mr. Francis really well. Always had great things to say about him.

#RIP. That series was my first real memories of watching hockey. I wasn't even 6 yet. Still a Rangers fan after all these years.

Had some great nostalgic Ranger teams but the one thing always lacking was toughness. Could never overcome Big Bad Bruins and then the Broad Street Bullies. RIP Emile. .
