OT: Revenue sharing impacting Athletic Department of Indiana

Yes and it should.

Every entity has to deal with being fiscally responsible.
ADs are no different.

Not to be cruel, but I would assume player expense (along with coaching staff expense) is a much higher priority than these employees.

Considering how many ADs have been losing money for years (including Rutgers), why weren't these cuts made earlier?

If Rutgers AD had to cut employees due to HC Schiano's new contract or OC KCs raise, would anyone care?

It won't have any impact on the big money schools, Alabama, USC, OSU, Michigan, but will impact lower revenue programs. "Compliance and communications", would that mean more people complaining about their dealing with the ticket office? This could turn into a viciuos circle?

Will this impact Rutgers and other athletic departments across the country?
Sounds like schools may also have to compensate former athletes for NIL as a result of the 2021 Supreme Court decision.

“As part of a court settlement, the NCAA agreed to provide nearly $2.8 billion to former athletes who were barred from earning money off their name, image and likeness before a 2021 Supreme Court decision that cleared the way for such payments. The NCAA intends to provide $1.2 billion of that total while the schools must come up with the rest.”

Sounds mean, but if Rutgers startling cutting Schiano or any other coach's salary to keep athletic department employees from being let go, I would be worried about RU returning to the days of running the athletic programs on the cheap again the football team returning to the days RU was considered a terrible program .

Wee all seen what Rutgers Football was like when it hired it's HC as cheaply as possible and I , for one, don't want to go back to those days.
I say pay Greg and his staff what it takes to keep them and plan on paying even more when it's time to replace them if RU FB isn't considered a possible Playoff team in a couple of years.
Let Greg keep building a good team and then if he hasn't built one good enough to be a playoff contender dump him and spend what it takes to hire someone who can.
Or rehire the terminated employees and drop down to FCS for football. and join the Patriot Conference for all the sports programs to play in if Rutgers doesn't have the funds to pay P- 4 salaries .
