Northern NJ is well represented on the UVA roster in the College World Series. Five total - two players from Morristown (1B, LHP), a Teel from Mahwah (C), Nutley (INF,P), and Frenchtown (OF).
Stanford has a Morristown NJ native (P) on their roster.
Vanderbilt has players from Hamilton, Summit, Short Hills, and Sea Girt,
Texas has a player from Colts Neck.

I always root against schools that take our kids that we wanted. I guess my only exception is Ohio State football since the better they do, it helps us financially. I used to have a tough time when Northern Indiana College played State Penn, but since Sandusky/Paterno it made it an easier choice.

I wish the NJ athletes stay home but I do like to see them succeed wherever they go. One exception - Penn State, who have milked NJ dry of athletes for decades.

I root against ACC teams in every game in every sport. I don't like them or their parent corporation.

So, to the extent that I will watch the College World Series at all, I'll go with hometown UofA Wildcats.

No NJ athletes on Arizona & Tennessee & NC State rosters.
NC State does have players from the baseball hotbeds of Czech Republic and North Dakota.
Maybe the North Dakota athlete has Roger Maris bloodlines.
