She did a pretty good job and is still quite the looker.

she was such a liberal back in the day at RU. Hey I know someone famous.

Did anyone else hang out or know someone back in the day at RU who became famous

Im assuming RUnumbers and RU4Real knew Asia Carrerra

Becky is a light-weight. If she was quick on her feet, she would have countered Trump when he said "you guys make this stuff up" - regarding Zuckerberg and the H1-B visa issue - and said that it was pulled off the Trump website, which is where it came from. Instead she says "that's what it says here". I don't think Megan Kelly would have backed off like that.

She earned her way up in the beginning, but she has stayed where she is because her husband is the producer of the morning show that she is on. There have been many equally capable ladies who have passed through CNBC to Fox Business, Bloomberg or CNN - including Melissa Francis, Trish Reagan, Erin Burnett - - but were either not interested in that job or weren't given't the chance.

She was definitely something back in the day. Liberal? I guess could call it that.

No, unfortunately, I didn't know Asia, lol. Most "famous" people I was friends with at RU would be Matt Pinfield (very good friends for years and still friends), Melody/WRSU/WHTG DJ and eventually MTV VJ/personality and Jim Gandolfini (casual friends - had mutual friends and would chit chat with him at parties or the pub, but didn't hang out, per se).

When did you go Goth?

She's also Warren Buffett's personal ballwasher when he shows up on the CNBC set, so she has that going for her.

What a despicable display of moderation. That hit piece on Carson was especially nasty...and stupid. What an embarrassment. Sure helped the candidates though, so that is good.

I thought that Becky was a real Biotch during that debate. Not to mention a bit on an airhead.

I wouldnt mind getting liberal w/ her

I was on the Targum when Becky and Kelly Whiteside were there, but it was more like ships passing in the night than knowing them well. Both very nice and I don't remember Becky being super liberal.

Only compared to Harwood and Quintinilla. That was the most biased moderating I've seen since Chris Matthews moderated a Republican debate in 2007.

BTW - Even all you Christie haters should admit that "Are we seriously talking about fantasy football?" was right on target.

as to famous people I knew at RU, one of my friends and drinking partners in school was, Kieran Gallahue, he is now the CEO of Carefusion out in southern Cal. Also on the board at Intersect. Funny how people you hung out with and did all those crazy things end up in such various roles later on in life. One of my other friends who was incredibly smart, probably one of the smartest of our group, is driving a forktruck in a warehouse and couldn't be happier.

I watch CNBC a lot and she doesn't express her opinions of being either a liberal or conservative. Joe and Rick Santelli are the conservatives on the show. The questions were probably for ratings.

aren't all questions for ratings? These "debates" which if you ever seen a real debate you would know that they are not actual debates at all, are just dog and pony shows.

Ah, some of the people who made it big while I was an undergrad: 1) Jim Margraff - he invented LeapPad and livescribe; 2) Drew Houston - co-founder of DropBox; 3) Adam Reiss - co-winner of Nobel Prize in Physics, 2011. These men were fellow Phi Delta Theta fraternity brothers of mine, and Jim was in the house at the same time as me.

I knew Jimmy Palumbo during my days on the banks. We were both LC students majoring in Journalism & Mass Media and graduated together in 1987. Hence, we had a lot of classes together. We used to shoot the sh|t all the time about Rutgers sports. He has carved out a nice career for himself. He's one of those actors you don't know by name, but you definitely recognize the face.

John King of CNN back in the 2012 debates.

The moderation was disgustingly biased. Even liberals have been bashing it. There's a reason CNBC sucks in the ratings.

But I do think Becky Quick was not as bad as the other two. She was digging in at first, but I think as the crowd and candidates fought back, she eased off.

Carl Quintanilla was THE WORST. That guy's a serious P.O.S. who should never be allowed to moderate anything ever again.

It was unfair of her to ask Carson about his tax plan before he has one. He looked like he was doing numbers in his head ....okay, carry the trillion, subtract social security, and divide by total population.

Really, I though Fox was as tough on Trump as anything these moderators dished out. Cruz was blaming the media for attacks the candidates made on each other, like it was the moderates fault that they couldn't help themselves behave.

MIT?

Not sure if serious, but I'll treat it as serious. I never went Goth (all black clothes, makeup, etc. and into all Goth music). I liked a fair amount of Goth music (Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Siouxsie, The Cure, etc.), but I was probably an even bigger fan of punk and "regular" alternative back then (Clash, Pistols, The Jam, Ramones, Talking Heads, Replacements, Dramarama, Violent Femmes, REM, New Order, U2, Elvis, etc.).

Never was into any fashion associated with the Melody scene, unless you count t-shirts and shorts or jeans depending on how cold it was - no funny haircuts or safety pins or tattoos or leather. I truly just loved the music and dancing to the music, as it simply transported me to a place where nothing existed for me except for the dance floor. Of course, most of the women I ever dated or had any relationship with I met there, including my wife.

I thought RaRa was making a South Park reference...per se

Elliott Lurie of Looking Glass (Brandy) was in my Frosh PE class - back in the day when two years of PE was mandatory.

Mods were awful (and I dislike most of the Republic Party candidates). Thought Chris Christie made a strong impression (and I hate CC - the only Republican candidate who would force me to hold my nose and vote for Mrs. Clinton).
