Don't see where the article says/infers that "Roy knew". Are you saying Roy's boy was in "caHoots" with the scandal?N&O's Dan Kane keeps the UNC scandal in the news, with MBB front and center. Not sure why anyone is shocked by this. For all practical purposes, the decision makers in the NCAA = UNC (+ the other powerful member schools). You will get lip service, but real and painful self regulating never really happens in life. It's like @RU4Real cutting a check ever time he hits triple digits on the NJTPK. It ain't never gonna happen.Still no updates from the NCAA?

That is what makes this worse. If UNC can take their pick of the best athletes that are also decent students... and instead they just take the best athletes who don't care about academics one bit... this is worse than, say, a UNLV taking academic risks just to try to compete athletically with the "haves".Roy knew what exactly? That the brilliant scholars he had on his basketball team were taking bogus classes to stay eligible?
Really, who cares. It's not like he had a bunch of Rhodes scholars on his team . He had mostly kids who would not be in college if not for hoops. Williams wins and that's basically all that matters.
