Decided to start a new thread just for the episode.

So is Glen dead? If so, why didn't they eulogize him in The Talking Dead?

Will Rick get the RV started? Otherwise, how is he going to escape the approaching horde? Did he cut himself or get bitten?

Many other questions....

I have a feeling they don't "finalize" his death for another few episodes. He probably won't appear until there's a "flashback" of what happens to him while the others continue to deal with the horde/wolves. The others will assume he died, while Maggie will continue to hope he's alive until there is some type of evidence of his death provided towards the second half of the season.

My theory is that he dies like he does in the comics. "Saved", while being partially mutilated by walkers, by Negan and his crew. They question him to find out where he's from, which results in his death thereby starting next season's storyline about the war with Negan's goons. This is included in a "flashback" type of scenario and ultimately giving a close to Glenn's story.

There are reports that the actor is still filming, which means something.

In regards to Rick, he's unkillable as far as I can tell. Not too worried about him. Deus ex machina seems to always take place for him.

Please don't make it that he lives- would be so unbelievable. Still don't see how he can be "saved" (even after being eaten) with hoardes abound.

The other guy (Nicolas) was laying on top of him.

Even if Nicholas was laying on top of him and it was Nicholas being devoured, how is Glen going to get out of it?

I don't think he is dead yet. I also don't think he makes it out of season 6. Maybe he rolls under the dumpster, maybe something distracts the horde but I think he somehow survives this one. Between the pictures of him still filming with characters that haven't been introduced yet to the lack of fanfare for him on Talking Dead, I'm about 90% convinced that he is alive.

As far as Rick goes, he wasn't bitten. He cut his hand on the machete that was buried in the walkers shoulder. There are a few places in the comic that they might have taken that scene from...I think it's going to be an issue for Rick but not the end of Rick.

the 5 wolves he killed were the ones that Morgan let escape, right? One of the two who first broke into the RV had a gun and looked like the head guy Morgan let go.

I think that was the cowards guts we saw being yanked and eaten and Glen will squeeze under the dumpster. And yet... Lori diedin episode 4 of that season, so losing amain char now is not unprecedented.

I did notice on talking dead someone said Glen has not killed a human... Not sure that's true... He fired on quite a few of the governor's crowd invading the prison.

They had the rv out as part of Dealing with the herd. It isn't a stretch to think that they'd have some of the bigger guns out at that point.

And they left an unattended RV out in the open with automatic weapons in it? Hmmmmm.....

I watched the death scene a second time and to me it did not look like there was anything on top of Glenn when the guts came flying out.... of course that could have been done
on purpose and him being underneath could still be used to keep him alive..... on talking dead they did allude to something that wonchobody is talking about above.

I think most of us would prefer that you don't spill the beans about stuff happening off in the future..... spoilers about the most recent episode fine, but don't ruin it otherwise.

If Glenn manages to survive, that would be pretty silly IMO. Even if Nicholas was on top of him, you can't tell me he makes it out of that w/out a single bite.

You knew something bad was coming when Nicholas started having that panic attack...for a second I thought he was going to revert to his old ways, and toss Glen to the walkers in order to try to save himself.

Gory episode, even for WD standards.

Yes that one guy was clearly the Wolf that took the gun as Morgan let them escape. Not sure about the others but it would be logical that they were all part of that same crew.

Entirely lame if he squeezes under the dumpster

Agreed. Glenn needs to be dead. It was stated on Talking Dead that he will still appear in some fashion but if it is as an alive, normal character that would be pretty lame. There's not even a tank for him to squeeze into like when Rick found himself in a similar place in Season 1.

something I do like about this season is the number of zombies increasing way over what is been previously shown, except for maybe one of the early episodes where Rick had to go
under a vehicle in the city.... in that scene they appeared to be a lot.

it seems that the world is ultimately going to lose the battle to the zombies....there are thousands and thousands in packs, humans far less numerous and scattered..... it sets up great killing sequences which is what a lot of the shows fans want.....so many think a story line episode without a lot of killing is a waste of an episode...... those fans are getting their fill now, although there is nothing wrong
with showing a bit of story and character development.

But the zombies seem to be decomposing faster, with less to eat....

---------------------
could be true.... it also could be the producers of the show just getting better at their craft and making even more gruesome zombies......

has there been any mention at all on the show itself that the living are seeing this happen?

How long can the zombies survive without eating? Do they actually need to eat to "survive" or is it just something that their brains tell them they have to do?

So eventually there will be nobody left? Just animals/etc.... And Rick/Carol/Daryl of course.

In the past the show has made it very clear that HUMANS are the most dangerous thing now. Ultimately that is where the show should go. Wolves are an example.. the hospital was an example.. the church and reverend.. examples.. roving bands they have encountered in towns, the governor... the zombies are like "man vs nature".. man vs environment (like when they couldn't find water in the heat)... but the meat of the show is man vs man.

True - it's like the walkers are just predators now (like alligators for example), except if you get bit you become one. There are just lots of them.....

Glenn will become a walker. Maggie and Glenn will cross paths. Will Maggie brain Glenn? Morgan could not shoot his walkerized wife back in the 1st or 2nd season.

Rick will end up on the roof of the RV. Daryll will save him by leading the walkers away with his bike or something.

Rick will make a call saying that the walkers' wives were in a bad car accident and they'll have no choice but to leave to go to the hospital.

You wins the internets!

Love the show, but my only gripe with it is how the walkers always tend to sneak up on their victims. Besides gurgling and growling, they also walk by shuffling their feet. In reality, walkers would be the loudest creatures going. I have woods in my backyard, and when a chipmunk or squirrel runs around back there, they sound like a freakin' bear. A walker in the woods would sound like someone with COPD raking leaves. They wouldn't sneak up on anyone.

I recently rewatched the first season, and it's amazing how differently the walkers were portrayed then. Much faster on their feet, some semblance of memory (Morgan's wife, the girl w/ the teddy bear), and generally more capable (climbing fences, using rocks to smash windows, etc.)

Can you imagine if the walkers moved like the ones in those other zombie movies (28 Days Later, etc.). Crazy fast. That would NOT be good.

I thought the Wolves thing was pretty stupid - exciting to watch but stupid. A group of ultra violent humans that won't use guns that randomly shows up and kills people for no obvious reason? Weak story telling.

I suspect there is more to tell there... but I'd be guessing. Like maybe the origin of the Wolves is a cult, or a mental hospital prison.. or they have been eating humans.. brains.. have mad cow.. some fungus rotting their brains.. something.
