Great episode. Less talking and more mayhem.DAMN! Sh&t hit the fan!
Could be that Enid is a spy. Only thing that does not make sense is. If she was a spy the W's would have known about the armory, and made an all out assault to control it IMHO.
I don't see Enid being a spy. If she is, she's horrible at it. The Wolves seemed to be going around Alexandria randomly with no plan. The show explained that they found out about it via Aaron's backpack that he left behind. I don't see the Wolves being very formidable. They don't have firearms and four of them can't even take Morgan in a fight. Plus, Carol and Morgan defended Alexandria from the onslaught almost single-handedly. Add Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Michonne, Abraham, Sasha, etc. to the fight and it becomes a suicide mission for the Wolves. What I think it does is prove to the core group that Alexandria is too big to defend (like Enid said) and it's time to move on.
So here's my spoiler alert guess to what might happen next (no I don't know anything, I'm just extrapolating!)
So, it's clear that the show doesn't follow the comic, right? For example in the comic there's no Daryl and Andrea was still alive, etc. But what I did notice is that while the TV show may be different from the comic, some elements remain true. For example, in the comic the Governor beheaded Tyrees while in the show it was Hershel. Therefore, based on the comic and episodes 1 and 2, here is my guesses as to what might happen this season .........
There will be one or two more altercations with the wolves. Rick and co. shows the wolves who's boss. Wolves leader comes back with a hundred people and shows Rick and co. who's really boss. Nicolas betrays the group. An important figure dies - like Glen.
I thought she was going to shoot Morgan when he entered that house. How I thought the big death was going to happen this show (and never did).
Carol? put that psychiatrist doctor lady in the armory closet and told her to point her gun and shoot whatever walked in the room. I was convinced that one of the main characters was going to walk in to try to grab a gun to help them out and get shot not knowing she was in there. She was very skittish that scene.
I thought she was going to shoot Morgan when he entered that house.
Except these have been some really good episodes. It's not like the quality is slipping. I'm surprised to hear about the ratings so far.
Ive been watching this show since the incredible first season. It has been up and down but the last season and half won me over after I was ready to give up after the boredom at the farm and prison. Well I watched the first episode and it made me not want to watch this show again. I just cannot like any of these characters and it seems likes it the same old same old with Rick. I cannot stand Glen. Daryll has turned into a pussy. Michonne has been tamed. The only character I do like is Carol and she is the only one whose character has truly developed for the better.
There have been stretches where I've been bored throughout the six seasons, but overall, it's been a great ride and isn't even close to being stale yet.
Perhaps I am feeling this way because I really really liked Fear The Walking Dead. I felt these people were real and reacting like people would really react. I mean you had ridiculous stuff like Tyrese unwilling to kill a zombie how long into this apocalypse. I just cant stand the moralistic tone of this show that sorts of continually hits me over the head. I saw less of this the last year and half but worried its coming back. Just bored with that first episode, I am willing to give the 2nd episode a watch but to me this show needs a major shift and from reading online others are feeling that way too.
I'm starting to wish SOMEBODY would. The pacifist act is wearing on me and is gonna get people killed. He effin' let wolves escape... and with a gun no less. smh

Yep. Like a missed Rutgers extra point, that gun will come back to haunt Rick + Co.He effin' let wolves escape... and with a gun no less. smh

Morgan is filling the role of a moral compass. He killed the guy in the house in the last scene right after he apologized for doing it.
I know it's TV, so reality has little to do with the story line. Guns are pretty useless once you use all the bullets. If they find some bullets for the gun, they will also likely find more guns. I don't see that as much of
an issue.
Agree with interrogation, but it needs to be medieval to send a message.
Rick needs the older Hispanic guy from Fear TWD to be airlifted to Alexandria to get some Wolves to sing.
The ratings have been down 7.6%. But its average this season is 6.80 (down from 7.36). To put these numbers in perspective, The Big Bang Theory is the highest rated show on network TV and it is averaging a 4.0 rating this season.
EDIT: Correction: The #1 show on the networks is Empire, which is averaging 5.5 rating.
What type of shift are you looking for? What do you mean by "moralistic"? You just want people blasting zombies left and right because that's what you think people would do? It's like you want to take all honest human decency and emotion/reaction out of the show (which is totally your opinion, and fine, I just disagree with the thought).
A lot of people, including myself, were confused with the first episode. The second episode starts to explain it, and the third will fully explain it. Just a lot of set up for the season, it seemed. Lots more action in Episode 2.
But yeah, just curious where your feelings about the various characters and plots are coming from.
I don't need to see zombies being slaughtered every episode, never said that. I guess I am just tired of these characters. Interestingly enough this show has killed off my favorite characters except for Carole...Shane, Andrea, Beth....hell even that women who was in charge of the hospital Dawn. These people seemed to be fully drawn characters who had a lot to offer, in Beths case we didn't get to her until right before they axed her. In the meantime. Glen and Maggie are just total bores, moreso Glenn. Please kill him.
I also have a hard time believing that some of these people have been so insulated from attacks from the zombies and seem unsure about killing them. I just do not think that its realistic.
Also I am wondering shouldn't the zombies be getting weaker as they have less and less humans to feed on. You would think that the heat and weather conditions would take a toll on their body.
Yep. Like a missed Rutgers extra point, that gun will come back to haunt Rick + Co.
