Not a big Tom Cruise fan but the was a great movie.
Brimley could play the loving grandfather or the meanest so of a Bitch on the planet equally well.

I'm guessing it was his solid white mustache. He was in his forties and his mustache was already solid white.

I have a hazy memory of a TV show where he was the grandpa.. only the 80s "Our House" on IMDB seems to be right..

I have a memory of some conman kid painting his house number on his curb and then surprising Gramps with a demand for payment and that cantankerous old bastard was having none of it. Strong old man... who was only 52-54.. hah!
