OT - Zac Brown at Citi Field - need advice on parking and tailgating.

I always park at the side street off Roosevelt avenue. It's free and you can get out much faster. But you would look strange tailgating there. It is big parking lot and it extends near the park.

We usually tailgate on the third base side of the stadium. If you are there early enough you do not have a problem. Word to the wise do NOT walk around with any beer or adult beverages you WILL get a ticket. Make sure you bring red solo cups and pour everything in them and you are good to go. As long as it is in a cup the cops will not bother you.

saw Buffett in AC - great concert!
bought these tickets prior to ZB being announced on the beach

If you go to AC upgrade to Gold Circle if possible - better experience - and the stage creates shade in that area

There were people arriving fairly late to World Series games and not having trouble getting a spot. And that was with sections of parking lot blocked off for MLB events. A good spot? Of course not. But you'll be fine for a concert.

Bumping this in case anyone else has some thoughts.
I'm leaving New Providence at 4 so expect to get to CitiField by 6 (assuming some traffic since it's an hour without).
As far as tailgating, bring solo cups and garbage bags. Citi Field sent a message out saying there are no trash cans and you should bag it and it will get picked up. Their FaceBook page has a list of items you can't bring into the stadium. It appears you can bring in your own food since that's not on the list. But leave your weapons at home.
