Nice writeup about him. https://www.profootballfocus.com/co...l&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=college

1. Tariq Cole, LT, Rutgers

When your school loses back-to-back games by a combined score of 136-0 (even when you didn’t play in one of them due to injury), it’s easy to get lost in the mix. However, Rutgers LT Tariq Cole has had a strong season despite the rest of his team’s struggles and deserves to be recognize as the Big Ten’s best blind side protector.

His specialty is pass protection, where other than one poor showing against Iowa and Anthony Nelson, he has given up just one pressure in six games. His 82.6 overall grade is the best in the conference, and 11th-best nationally, and he also owns the Big Ten’s top pass- and run-blocking grades.

That is spectacular. I knew he has been playing well but that is something you can build around.

This goes to show that when you crater a program with recruiting classes consisting largely of sleepers/diamonds-in-the-rough, a few of them will actually pan out...

But the knock on Flood aside, I have had high hopes for Cole since the early reports of his athleticism and potential. Really cool to see him doing so well and getting noticed for it.

That is just awesome to read. Especially rewarding for him I bet considering how far this kid has come as an individual!

Cat can play. Will make NFL money there is little doubt.

This time next year we'll be reading about how great Seymour is grading out.

Tackles are set IMO.

Yes - he has two years of eligibility BUT he may wind up choosing to only use one and go pro.

Let's hope he decides to stay at Rutgers for two.

Very doubtful that a true freshman who weighs 255 lbs plays on the OL

He has a year to continue to grow and add muscle.
Remember Anthony Davis came is started game 1.
Saw Micah Clark at the Iowa game and he is huge and looks more than 255.

hes definitely more than 255 pounds but definitely much less than Anthony davis weighed coming out of HS

I remember reading someplace that Davis was closer to 360 when he arrived on campus.

I believe Davis was 370 when he came in. He was fat. Worked his butt off to get ready for the season.

I think both Zuttah and Davis started on the OL at somepoint during their freshmen campaigns. I think both started on the OL sometime after 3 or 4 games into the season.

And Clark is listed at almost 100 lbs below!? Wow! (Granted that number is low)

Clark is not 255 lbs.
I saw him at the Iowa game the guy is huge and chiseled .
He will playing next year.

You must work on the boardwalk guessing weights or you mistook Clark's brother for him, since Jamaal Beaty is 280 lbs but 2 inches shorter that Clark. Have seen Clark play for SJV this year & he looks skinny compared to his brother.
