CBS Sports is predicting Cincy in the Yankee Stadium game this year. I guess they are predicting there will not be enough bowl eligible B10 teams. If there are too many bowl slots for 6-6 teams would the Pinstripe be able to select a 5 win B10 team as long as the 6-6 teams all have bowl homes? I see the Cure bowl in Orlando also is taking a replacement but think our Athletic dept would prefer a local game to save on costs, if we are the top selection f 5-7 teams because of the graduation rate.

The Detroit game is listing 2 replacements.

Of course we need to beat Maryland 1st.

my understanding - is, given the order bowls select and offer bids - the Pinstripe bowl will already be filled before they get down to the 5-7 teams - it is some of the other "lower level" / "newer bowls" who will deal with the 5-7 issue (if it even happens).

No, let's hope we win tomorrow and Flud is fired. I never hope for us to go down.

Imagine if we win and go to a bowl and flood is retained ! Next year when we stink again all the floodies will be talking about how great he is and 3 straight bowls

Just note that it would have been four straight bowl games, two of which were attended by a barely middling 6-6 and very undeserving 5-7 teams.

Let's just hope we lose tomorrow and flood is fired
Why not hope RU wins and Flood's fired.
Don't think he'll be fired for losing to Maryland and the 4-8 record it brings, the decision is probably been made either way and the Turtle game won't effect that decision one way or another.
For the seniors that started their college careers at Rutgers (Quentin Gause, Paul James, Keith Lumpkin, Djwany Mera,Leonte Carroo and Kyle Federico I want RU to win.
Especially Sam Bergen who has been a Scarlet Knight 6 years because various injuries made him eligible to stay a Knight that length of time and he never gave up fighting to get back on the field.
Then there is Bryan Stonkus, a walk on for all of the 4 years he has been on the roster, Bryan deserves to go out the winner he is
Also I want the seniors (Joey Roth,Kaiwan Lewis and Chris Gough) that chose Rutgers after starting somewhere else enjoy their last game and always their last win was as a Scarlet Knight

Hoping RU will lose is also hoping all the senior players remember their RU Senior Day a losing one.
I hope Flood gets terminated after the game, but the RU seniors go out on a high note and leave their last game as Scarlet Knights with the W.

Well in a perfect world Rutgers would win and flood would be fired . There would be no bowl at 5-7.
I am willing to sacrifice tomorrow's game for the good of the program . I would say it's not a big deal as far as senior days go . I bet if you polled fans randomly many of them couldn't tell you what happened on senior day last year .
College football to me is entertainment . I want to be entertained better next year .

Putting it that way, can see why you don't care about the seniors going out winners.
Won't argue about the good of the program not being in play because Flood's coming back ( in my opinion only) win or lose.

Actually in a perfect world you and your ilk would not be posting on this board. Professionals are paid to entertain. These are kids playing football.
