That violates the principle that the tiebreaker mechanism should simulate the actual game as closely as possible. If that principle is not important, then the college rule is fine IMO.NFL.
But I'd eliminate the 15 minutes in OT
Each team has 2 minuets after receiving the ball to score on their first and only possession in the first OT.
2nd OT starts at the 50 with 1 minute to score for each team.
But if the team with first possession makes a FG, the other team must score a TD or lose.
If tied after 2 overtimes, game is ruled a tie
