Number 11 got burned more than a W Va couch on fire after a big win.! He must have given up 3 TDs and 300 yards all by himself, it was like somebody told him you would be shot to death if you dared turn around to look for the coming pass.

Patton dropped a perfectly thrown bomb in the end zone with about 3 minutes left in the game. Awful !

Hamilton was terrific vs the run today . Outstanding

Bonagura misses a short chip shot FG- as awful as his kick offs.

Cioffi was yanked and never seen after his whiff tackle in the first half

Damon Hayes is a budding star, Hester had some good moments as well

Playcalling awful as Zappa mentions in another thread, zero play action to ward off the rush, zero screens to ward off the rush, zero first down passes , 1-17 on turd down.

They didn't attempt a single screen pass after one to Hicks where Harris got blocked right into him.

Saquon Hampton looks very good.

Our LBs can not shed blocks to save their lives. We just have no lbs who are playmakers.

Wharton was bad today.

Multiple times they were in 3rd and long and we put no pressure on the qb. Very rarely do I see blitzes. Although I would say the Austin CB blitz was a great play call.

Play calling is a funny thing. It looks good when they can execute, not good when they cannot. Play calling seemed better in the first half than the second half, didn't it? Execution was poor in the second half. If it wasn't a terrible throw, it was a dropped pass or a missed block. The players need to make less mistakes and more plays....not rocket science.

News flash: Patton stepped out of bound. TD would not have counted. Ref threw hat on ground. Just so poorly coached. Should never happen much less two plays in a row. So bummed with this staff.

Surely, can't argue with any of the OP statements. The MOST frustrating thing for me the whole game, as stated, was # 11's inability to look for the ball while covering. As in the Schiano era, they just have trouble turning their heads! But, that # 11, geeeeeeez!
This is just not a winning football program. The program has to learn to win.

Wharton should get it by now, he's been starting for nearly two full seasons.
We need to step up the internal CB competition, I cant watch #11 do this for two more years..

I get it. Ash wants to play quarters defense with M2M coverage. But after your DB's get burned on four series in a row, isn't it time for a change of pace? Considering you're not getting any pass rush in the entire 4th quarter, maybe, just maybe, call a blitz and a zone coverage once in a while? Maybe god forbid a zone blitz? Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. Is the object here to get the team to run your defense or to win games?

I think the DB's are playing their butts off. They're step for step but just not able to consistently break up the play. Wouldn't it help just for a play or two to give them a break with safety help over the top and dial up a blitz? This isn't Ohio State. Eli Apple didn't come here. You've got to play with the players you have and try to put them in positions where they can succeed. I don't see this being done.

If he got pushed out of bounds, which he did, and immediately comes back in, which he did, it's not a penalty. The official would've thrown a flag as soon as the ball hit Patton if it was a penalty. Only a penalty when you go out on your own and are the first to touch the ball after coming back in.

Just to be Fair, please edit and mention that it is all part of the Process.

#1- it was Tsimis that stepped out nullifying his catch near the 3 yard line.

#2- Patton dropped a perfect bomb as he was in the MIDDLE of the end zone.

Bad teams find many ways to lose games. Can be different or the same from week to week, but almost always results in a loss.
