Nigel hurt his ankle. He wasn't out for nothingno time for crying in the Big 10 conference, Iowa got embarrassed last week at Illinois and then picked themselves up and beat Ohio State and now Rutgers in response
Nigel hurt his ankle. He wasn't out for nothing
On that play Nigel appeared to be selfishly holding on to the ball rather than pass off to a team mate..... Just a horrible team performance , especially disappointing coming after the Wisconsin effort...Nigel had an open three in the corner and instead drove the baseline among the trees and threw up a circus shot which had no chance of going in and he hurt his ankle. What he was thinking I have no idea.
Unfortunately Nigel is barely better than Bishop Daniels. Funny how people talk up people in practice and they turn out to be pedestrian..
I noticed that, too. Thought it was strange.Did Jake run the RAC stairs before the presser? Sounded like he was breathing pretty heavily
Simply a case of stage fright and being tongue-tied. He doesn't have much (any?) experience being the team spokesman on a post-game dais.Did Jake run the RAC stairs before the presser? Sounded like he was breathing pretty heavily
He's simply asked to do too much, which is the case with our entire roster sans Sanders. Our roster is comprised of complimentary players, most of whom would do fine as an 8-minute reserve on most other B1G teams. Our problem is we have to rely on them to play 20+ minutes at RU.Nigel was great vs occ sched but B10 exposed him.

very disappointing. I expected a convincing win. Dead wrong.
Every fan set themselves up for disaster. "Jok out, this is a must win"
Why? They just beat OSU by 15.
They may be a better team without Jok.
If that is what it was, I'm glad he didn't hyperventilate and pass out. That was disturbing to listen toSimply a case of stage fright and being tongue-tied. He doesn't have much (any?) experience being the team spokesman on a post-game dais.
People are making drama out of this Johnson case.
He hurt his leg. Sure, maybe Coach wasn't thrilled with his offensive shot selection, but christ.
Let's not turn this into the Kardashian show.
How is a team with one B1G win taking ANYONE for granted, let alone a team with much better players? This game was deplorable. Probably our two easiest home games in the BIG this year were Penn State and Iowa and we were not ready to play in either of them. Iowa started 3 freshmen and they played as hard as they could and took it to us all night. They ran us out of the gym. We came into the game with no intensity at all. We had 5 turnovers in the first 4 and a half minutes and we had terrible shot selection from the very beginning. A team is not going to win many if only two guys play well. This was an absolute disgrace. We beat Nebraska and played hard against Wisconsin and than this happened tonight. We only lost by 6 points at Iowa 2 weeks ago and they took us to school tonight. I think the team took Iowa for granted and there is no excuse.
