Purple lot cops on ATVs

I'm wondering if the police are being more present because of the stabbing incident - and want to be able to show they can quickly respond to something if it were to happen.

Bingo.

God forbid something else happens today at the game

They used to do that in Blue. We made some calls and Rutgers did NOT want the ATVs down the rows - just on the sides. It was fixed. That said police gonna police. Some of those guys just love having their "authoritay respected" necessary or not.

They came down the first row of blue today. Made us move a canopy so their ambulance can get through if needed. No tailgate on the other side but said they need a straight line.

you guys can't be serious with that excuse..come on really? [eyeroll]

Yes, serious. A multiple stabbing happened on campus a day before... there was going to be increased police presence today. Pretty much a given. It may be PR, but it was a given.

This is stupid. No ambulance is getting down the 4' aisle that the cops insist on, and you're not transporting a patient on an ATV. It's just plain asinine cop power trip bullshit.

They ran through our row in the yellow lot this morning, too. Made the guy across from us move all his stuff.

The math has been done on this. We're throwing away a couple million dollars a year on these overtime-sucking Barney Fife wannabees, and get zero in return. It's not going to continue this way for long.

The ATV's were coming down some rows in Yellow today too. First time this year. It's pretty dumb and totally unnecessary. Ain't preventing anybody from being stabbed any more than walking down the rows would do.

Whether it's stupid or not, it's expected. If you honestly thought that there wasn't going to be a show of force today, you're naive.

Oh my Lord, I get so mad when cops patrol and do their job. Why can't they just go hide somewhere and leave us alone, oh that upsets me as well. Effing cop gets taken from his two kids yesterday in the Bronx and today I need to hear little bitches complain about ATV'S driving through their tailgate. You people disgust me sometimes.

I think what we're saying is that the type of force shown was stupid. Having more cops there is one thing and is all that's necessary to have a show of force. Having ATVs ripping up and down rows is not a show of force; it's a show of stupidity.

First of all, you're misunderstanding the complaint. Secondly, overreact much?

Expectations should be rational. Based on the incident yesterday afternoon at the SoB, there is no RATIONAL expectation that cops are going to step up their tailgate blitz campaign.

Also, they were under no instructions to do so from the school.

As I said in my previous post, this situation, generally, has bubbled up enough visibility that change will be effected for next season.

Haha, I'm overreacting? Your such a cluless loser.
It's "clueless".

And yeah, you're overreacting. Nobody here is saying the police shouldn't be able to do their jobs. We're saying, and we're correct, that racing ATVs up and down the rows isn't helping them do their job any better.

And clueless is acting self-righteous by attempting to make a connection between dumb patrol tactics in a football game in Piscataway and a cop being killed by an ex-con in the Bronx.

Maybe you ought to think a little bit before turning your emotional venting up to 11.

Waaaaaaaaaaa! I'm so mad at the cops. They were ripping down the lanes, what lies. They were doing what they were told to do. Stop crying, you sound like a 10 year old complaining about staying up late.

Any person complaining about the two cops in the purple lot today is an a $%&#. No doubt about it. You have nothing better to do then feel offended by these two cops doing nothing more then their jobs. You truly need to get a clue. Yes, your are clueless. If I knew who you were I couldn't look in your eyes without laughing at you. Pathetic.

I addressed this issue in the Purple Lot last year with the chief of police thanks to Ames. screw's contact. At least they removed that stupid man in the sky.

I saw the ATV's this week but I'lol wait to see how they are during the chili cook off if I want to make a major issue out of it.

I will have a coffee, you make sure you have a bottle of milk, have your mommy burp you before you settle in for the night. Happy dreams.

God forbid they have to get off an ATV and walk the aisle.

As for an ambulance.. people would move their crap quickly in that circumstance...

How dare the liberals in this thread tarnish the good name of the police who work to keep us safe.

Really odd. Did the same in yellow early. Moronic. They can walk ten yards in case of emergency. We pay good money for spots and are loyal sons and daughters and they do this nonsense.

And I hope metal barricades behind 125 inside stadium were for a legitimate security reason. We already have smallest concourses in the league. More metal barricades just awful.

On a positive note hydration station with $6.00 waters was gone.

Gotta be pretty bad when I am agreeing 100% with Mildone. No excuse for ATV nonsense.

They don't dare pull that crap in the Scarlet Lot. No car, let alone ambulance is getting quickly through any aisle other than the first one nearest the Stadium fence (maybe). It's Bullcrap just like 2 weeks ago where you can't bring in water/food for 'security 'reasons. With a 2 win team, and moronic fan pre game restrictions, the dopes in the AD are going to be in for a shock with plummeting season ticket sales ths coming year.

how about at 11:20 I couldnt walk with my beer to look at my brick because I had to dump it out first because for some reason they dont allow you to drink coming up from blue or yellow but of course there are thousands drinking in green and scarlet a few feet from the stadium and of course in the fanzone...brilliant

I don't know... You say you would laugh, but you come across as a pretty humourless, angry person. Do you even remember how to laugh?

Quick, look in the mirror. Laughing yet?

See what I mean?
