I just watch a Laurent film.... he looks like a great athlete at 6'6" and would thrive in the open court. What are your thoughts? I'm sure you have watched more film on him than anyone on this board.

Maybe the board would like him if he had a RI or Buffalo offer....lol

I've watched Laurent for the past three years in person. He's athletic and does thrive in transition, but his HS team runs at least 12 different plays per game so he's used to a structured offense as well.
He's also a very underrated passer.

His jumper isn't great but has improved each year that I've watched him. He's also a good on-ball defender.

Btw, Tulsa offered Laurent Monday night.

Russ,

Would you say that Rutgers leads for Lauren'ts services or do we have a long way to go? Thanks.

Twitter world confirms RU is favorite for him and he has set up an official visit, not sure of date

Meanwhile, Deshawn Freeman JUCO playoffs begin and he said he is in no rush to make a decision, wants to take his four official visits, can see this one dragging into late April Early May, giving time for bigger schools to be involved, ala Arizona

Sounds like he is waiting to see what players leave early and then select the best spot

I don't see us getting Freeman at this point. Just blown up. Laurent though we probably have better chances with. Very athletic, high motor, can defend multiple positions. EJ kind of guy.

The father from NJ you go, the better Rutgers basketball seems to these players. Just look who we have on our roster.
