lol......Im with the OP...too much bitching about the officials in this game, RU took a lot of foul shots this game, fans tend to only see the calls that go against their team. Were the officals great this game, no they were inconsistent and they missed a few calls but good lord the amount of bitching by RU fans was over the top IMO
Question for those who go to a restaurant and don't like the food, what's the highest level at which you've been a chef.
* Executive Chef at five star restaurant.
* Sous Chef at upscale chain.
* Short order cook at family chain.
* I don't know how to cook, but I know bad food when I taste it.
If you have listened to our coach's press conferences all year and listen to the press conference after the SHU game you would see that he did not think highly of the way they called the game. But he was very smart in how he made his points
There is nothing more annoying than people who think complaining about the officials is a crutch. There are games when the officials are good and there are games when they are not good. There are games when they affect the outcome there are games when they don't affect the outcome. I don't think anyone on here constantly complains about the officials. So why can't we be adults and actually discuss when officials have an impact on the outcome of the game without people assuming that people are crying or bitching.
If you stop and think about it, it's the crowd that puts their head in the sand and say the officials don't have an impact on the game that make me laugh. Like there is somehow this universal law that everything balances out. Silliest thing I've ever heard.
Now that does not mean that Rutgers is always getting the short end of the stick. But again, that's the point of discussing it.
I am a professional commenter, I do it for a living, my highest level of commenting has been, internet, commenting conventions, and the annual world championships of commenting.
Weren't the Rutgers officiating complaints put to bed once and for all when Tim Higgins broke bread with the Court Club?
Seriously, most here feel that the refs use Rutgers as an example for whatever the newest year's "points of emphasis" are.
Ref-ing is so subjective ... watch Georgetown and Louisville clutch and grab and slap and jostle. If it was Rutgers doing it, we'd be whistled for each and every one.
And the number of offensive players who shuffle both feet before putting the ball on the floor and it is hardly called.
