Question ?

Most of the names being thrown around. I haven't seen any name that fills me with dread yet.

There will always be some here that will hate anyone not named Saban or Chip Kelly or some big name that will never ever come here. Those people who never be happy.

I have mixed feelings. Schiano would be a safe choice, but I fear he might have a low ceiling, high floor. Also would likely be stuck with similar schemes.

Cristobal is intriguing but I don't like that he is another OL coach without an offense or defense expertise.

I wouldn't mind Sanford or Babers (if he's still available)

the negatoids are already starting new threads for each name mention on how they would be a terrible hire. They have to have cover all their bases.

I also said this would happen before Flood was fired. They also did that last time when GS quit.

I am in the camp that regardless who they pick people will be pissed. Whether it is GS or MC, they each have faults. I am hoping that each realize it and push to get decent funding for assistants. You are only as good as your staff.

Look how Georgia has been "disappointed" with Richt for not winning national championships in spite of a stellar record for 15 years. That's how this crew is with most any candidate. Any and all flaws will be pointed out before hiring, during his tenure and after they're gone. Unproven success or proven failure. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Bottom line is that you can't please everybody.

Not sure? I'm already reading excuse after excuse as to why a top tier coach is either too expensive or unwilling to come here because we have a dumpster burning with baggage or something to that effect. I'll laugh my butt off if they bring in a guy who's not popular with anyone. The AD hire already reeks of political patronage but time will tell if he does well.
