Can anyone compile a list of the top 10 recruit rankings to ever commit to RU?

It's pretty exciting that Gavin Griffiths (#30) will be our highest rated recruit and may be surpassed the year after by Dylan Harper (now #19 on ESPN released today )

Exciting times here On The Banks ! Go Pike!

DJ Foreman, i remember him trying to guard the 7 footer from Purdue when we lost by like 50 points.

1. Rosario - Pretty good. Transfered to Florida where he had one bad year and one good year.
2. Griffiths - Going to be GREAT. No Doubt About It.
3. Cliff -Great. Will be considered one of the all time greats
4. Corey Chandler - Fantastic freshman campaign followed by personal and player disaster. He was so pro-RU the minute he committed. Really sad.
5. Hamady N’diaye - Got to say N'diaye was mostly a disappointment. Had all the tools and was probably badly misused and not developed properly.
6. Greg Echenique - Was everything we hoped for. Gave RU an edge...until he transferred to Oregon.
7. Gerald Inman - Really liked JR and thought he was going to be better. 12pts 7rebs in both his Soph and Junior season, then fizzled as a senior.
8. Marquis Webb - I thought he was going to be great and he was just OK.
9. Myles Mack - Shame that he was on bad teams with bad coaching. Gave it his all.
10. Jerome Seagears -Left RU for Auburn came back after a month and then left for UNLV. So an F for Loyalty. Never very impressed with him.
11. Corey Sanders - Like Mack, seems like he deserved to be on the NCAA teams. 15 pts per game and was often the only player worth watching.

Remember seeing Street and Smith with Sellers. Adrian Dantley was one of the all-americans i remember seeing on list that year
This. In the history of all Rutgers sports recruiting there is probably just Phil alone at the top....and then everyone else. There were probably not a million ratings back then but Phil Sellers was a Street @ Smith's AA, Parade HS All America and Dapper Dan Basketball All-Star Game MVP. First time I ever read the phrase "a man among boys" was in an article about Phil in the Dapper Dan All Star game. Go Phil! Go RU!

Found this on THE All Star game that Phil played in after his senior year in HS in front of 13,000 fans....hope the link works (never a given with me lol):

The Roundball Classic, originally known as The Dapper Dan Roundball Classic (also known as Magic Johnson's Roundball, Sonny Vaccaro's Roundball Classic, EA Sports Roundball Classic, Asics Roundball Classic) is well known in the sports world as the first national high school All Star basketball game.[1][2][3] It was sponsored by and used as a fundraising event for the Dapper Dan Charities in Pittsburgh. The inaugural game was played at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 26, 1965.

1972U.S. 97, Pennsylvania 8813,207[35]

After the game two MVPs were named: one for the Pennsylvania team and one for the U.S. team. In 1979 and 1986 three U.S. selections played (East, Midwest and Southwest in 1979; East, South and North in 1986).[71][54]

If we can consider transfers, do you think Clarence Tillman should be considered? Clarence was a big-time recruit for Kentucky coming out of high school:

Tillman was honored in the first-ever McDonald's All-American after his senior season and was ranked as the number one small forward in the nation.

Tillman was the first-ever McDonald's All American from the state of Pennsylvania and the game was played at the Philadelphia Spectrum.

He was a pretty good player for us. We cold put together a pretty good team of transfers, when you think about it! Go RU! Boy, am I showing my age....

Think Corey deserves even more credit than he may be getting here - he’s legit the bridge to the current run of Tourney teams. Feel that his time in the Banks should be viewed as a successful Rutgers career without any doubt.

Did Geo and Ron come here because Corey Sanders was here? We have a board member that might know
