Can’t blame the refs for the loss. But can still talk about their job tonight. Which was one of the worst I’ve seen in a non-conference game. Where did they find these guys? Who was the “head ref”, they all looked like it was their first season on the job. That reversed charge call .. never have I seen that. At that point in the game, that was the game. No reason for them to be leaning for the upset but I can’t explain this one.
The refs for Stony Brook were also horrendously bad. But games against Stony Brook and Hartford shouldn't come down to refereeing.
I do not think they should able to review a call like that...stupid IMO because if they can review that, why arent they reviewing other missed foul calls. Either be able to review all calls or review none or just out of bounds plays

Is a charge /block even reviewable? I have never seen that before. The only thing I could think of was maybe one ref called it one way and the other called it another? What happened there?
They are able to review whether the defender was in the restricted circle under the basket. The official that made the call immediately pointed to the restricted area for the basis of the defensive call, meaning that he would've called a charge if not for the defender being in the restricted area. As confirmed by the monitor after an interminable delay, the defender was not in the restricted area. Therefore, charge.
The mess up with 1.6 left was really bad. Hartford should have gone ape. Little did they know Pikiell would freeze up and do nothing with the opportunity
